When Your Movie Script Gets Flagged by TSA
Benicio del Toro’s new movie “The Phoenician Scheme” got him in trouble . . . even before the movie was filmed. TSA agents searched his bag and found his script which starts with a plane crash. Benicio wasn’t bothered, he was actually happy the guy was “paying attention.”
Hooray for Hollywood: Here are this past weekend’s box office results. 1. “Lilo & Stitch,” $32.5 million. 2. “Ballerina,” $25 million. (CINEMA SCOOP .. The film cost $80-$90 million to produce. It earned $26 million overseas for a total worldwide weekend take of $51 million) 3. “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” $15 million. 4. “Karate Kid: Legends,” $8.7 million. 5. “Final Destination: Bloodlines,” $6.5 million.

A source says, “The couple was all smiles, showing their playful and affectionate side on the dance floor.” Swift looked elegant in a blue corseted dress, while Kelce kept it simple in a striped shirt.
Rascal Flatts were getting interviewed at Eric Church’s bar Chief’s in Nashville, when they were asked about kicking Eric off their tour in 2006. But instead of playing nice, Gary LeVox talked some smack.
Whiskey Riff says Chris Young recently visited a bar in Myrtle Beach where he ran up a $200 tab, and then left a $2,000 tip for the staff. The generous tip was split among three bartenders, making it a memorable night for the 8th Avenue Tiki Bar & Grill.
Megan Moroney was recently doing an interview for Billboard magazine when she said she follows her instincts, trusting her gut to guide big career decisions. “The best advice I’ve been given would be to trust my gut… Even like with the release of ‘Tennessee Orange,’ we weren’t going to release a song after my EP, but an opportunity came and it felt right and we did it and that’s all changed my life. So…trust your gut.”
The NY Post says Amazon founder Jeff Bezos recently shutdown 5th Avenue in New York City. He rented a crane to deliver his new furniture to his $119 million penthouse. A wrapped sofa dangled from a rope above the intersection of Fifth and 26th Street. Large-scale moves using cranes can cost upwards of $20,000 a day.
TMZ says authentic props from “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” are hitting the auction block in Los Angeles. A fedora, a bullwhip, and a belt set, used in the iconic film, are expected to sell for up to $500,000. The 8-foot bullwhip comes with a production tag from a key scene in the movie.
Brigada News says Joe Jonas allegedly friend-zoned Kelly Clarkson after a flirty talk show moment with her. A source says, “She’s been doing great on the outside, but it’s still hard for her. She thought there might be a spark with Joe and this will be tough to swallow. He’s about to go on tour and wants to enjoy himself. There’s no bad blood with Kelly—he’s just not feeling that kind of connection. He respects Kelly, but he’s not going to pretend something’s there when it’s not.’’
OK! Magazine says Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, will allegedly never forgive Sutton Foster for dating Hugh because she believes she played a role in the break-up of her marriage. A source says, “The fact that Sutton used to go on double dates and tried so hard to befriend Deb is extremely disturbing to her. She will never have anything to do with Sutton. Deb is friends with Sutton’s ex, and they both share a deep sense of betrayal.”
The World of Reel says Ben Stiller is set to direct a new “Twilight Zone” movie for Warner Bros. The film will focus on one contained story, unlike the original anthology, which focused on several separate ones. Stiller, a fan of the original series, has been quietly developing the project for six months.
