What “Redneck” Really Means to Riley Green

Riley Green was recently asked, “Is being called a redneck an insult?”  And Riley said, “I don’t think so.  It’s like anything else, it kinda depends on how you mean it.” Which is true, if someone’s mean to you, you don’t want to hear them calling you a redneck.  But if they’re talking about how hard you work, then it’s a bit of a compliment.  Because to Riley, that word simply means someone who spends their time outdoors.  That’s how he was raised in Jacksonville, Alabama. He went on to say, “There’s probably nicer terms . . . but for me, redneck was just somebody that grew up out in the country.” He added that in his tiny hometown, his family used to tease him for being the, quote, “city boy” . . . since Jacksonville had a Walmart AND a Waffle House. He said, “So, we were big time.” (You can listen to Riley talking about it here.)

Reese Witherspoon thinks modern dating’s in trouble — and she’s blaming the death of the rom-com! She told Dax Shepard that without those classic movies and sitcoms showing us how to flirt, ask someone out, or fall in love, people just don’t know how to date anymore. Her fix? Bring back the romantic comedies — because apparently, swiping right just isn’t cutting it!

Jennifer Aniston has gone Instagram official with her boyfriend.

“Home Alone” is celebrating its 35th anniversary this month, and we might finally have an update on what some of the characters are up to now. Macaulay Culkin stars as Kevin McCallister in a new ad for Home Instead, a company that provides in-home, non-medical care for seniors.  Rather than defending the house from the Wet Bandits, he’s concerned about creating a safety plan for his mom. (You can watch the clip here.)

MTV is pulling the plug on “Ridiculousness”! After 15 years, 46 seasons, and nearly 1,700 episodes, the nonstop clip show is ending in 2026. MTV’s reportedly done filming, but new episodes will keep rolling into next year. The network wants to go “back to its experimental roots” — whatever that means. For now, The Challenge, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Jersey Shore: Family Vacation are still on the lineup.

Kenny Chesney tells People magazine that he has no plans to retire. “I love what I do. I love making music and I love being on that stage, more than any place in the world.”

The Star says Megan Fox is allegedly “madly in love” with Machine Gun Kelly following their reconciliation. A source says, “They’ve been doing intense therapy and Megan can’t give up on MGK, especially when he’s trying so hard. She’s still got trust issues, but she’s madly in love. If it was up to MGK, they’d run off to Vegas tomorrow. Her friends know that’s something she wants as much as he does.”

Morgan Wallen tells CountryNow.com that he now balances his life differently since fame began affecting him in unexpected ways. “I know that I got young kids that look up to me and all those kind of things too… I am not gonna let people control the way I live my life but I do also want to be mindful… I don’t know that I’d be proud to show him those videos.”

The National Enquirer says Jessica Simpson is eager to find love after splitting from Eric Johnson. With her search hitting a dead end, she’s allegedly considering appearing on “The Bachelorette” for a shot at romance. A source shares, “Hooking up with gigolo types is all well and good but Jessica wants way more than that. She’d like to be romanced, and to document her new dating journey on camera would be a dream come true. She’s a huge fan of the Bachelor franchise and truly believes she’d bring a lot of credibility and ratings to the table if they give her a shot. Jessica has made no secret of her wish to return to TV. She’s been hitting up the Kardashians for advice and schmoozing with streaming honchos to figure out the right pathway and plotline. Her life is so busy right now — she’s got so much on the go careerwise as well as raising the kids with Eric. But she thrives on being super active and busy, and right now her number one priority is having fun in her life and climbing back on the dating horse.”
