According to a new study, human populations need at least 2.7 children per woman to reliably avoid long-term extinction. That’s a much higher fertility rate than the 2.1 previously believed. The U.S. has a current fertility rate of just 1.66.
Only 17 state capitals are the largest cities in their states.
It’s impossible to poison a possum. They produce a protein that basically neutralizes ANY poison that enters their body. And scientists are trying to use it to build a universal poison antidote for people.
