A computer scientist at the University of Texas-Arlington is using AI to decode canine vocalizations. The scientist, Kenny Zhu, wants to create a translator for pets. The project could not only allow humans to understand their dogs but also help identify health issues early on. Similar research is being conducted on cats and cattle. Kenny says his ultimate goal is to build a translator that will allow humans and dogs to talk with one another.
