Savannah Guthrie is set to return to “Today” on Monday, April 6 amid her mother’s ongoing disappearance. She said “it’s hard to imagine” coming back to the show because “it’s such a place of joy and lightness.” She said she wants to smile, and when she does, it will be real, and her joy will be her protest. She considers her “Today” co-anchors her family and “when times are hard, you want to be with your family. Naughty But Nice says ABC staffers are allegedly scrambling for bootleg copies of Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette.” A source says, “Everyone is trying to get a bootleg. That’s the only version anyone wants. It’s the most wanted video in the building. People are literally asking, ‘Do you have it? Can you send it?’ The fact it was pulled makes it gold. It’s forbidden, it’s messy, it’s real — that’s exactly why everyone needs to see it. Not since Kim Kardashian’s sex tape has a video been this wanted. That’s the level we’re talking about. It’s the most talked-about thing at ABC — and the one thing no one outside the building is supposed to see.”
Carrie Underwood tells Entertainment Now that she would only allow her sons to compete in a singing show once they’re older. “They both can sing, but my oldest is like super into his music. He’s a mini-me in so many ways … but I don’t think I would. He would need to be older and more established in himself before I would give my blessing on getting in the music business. Being on stage and being at home, those are two different people, pretty much. And I love that because they’ll come to shows and they’ll see me do what I do. And I feel that they’re proud, but then Mom makes dinner, I hope more than anything, that’s what they take away from me. And that’s what they remember about me. She was Mom, and then every once in a while, she’d go and get on stage.” (You can watch the clip here. Go to 9:49 for Carrie’s comments.)

Radar Online says Meghan Markle is weighing a return to Hollywood. A source says, “There is a growing recognition that the avenues she once relied on are no longer delivering the same opportunities. Projects have fallen away, deals have changed, and the landscape looks very different now. From her perspective, acting is the one area where she has proven success and credibility, so it feels like the most viable path forward. People around Meghan would say this is less about choice and more about necessity. The reality is that other ventures have not unfolded as expected, and she is recalibrating. Returning to acting offers structure, visibility, and the potential for stability that have been missing. There is an understanding that she may not have the same range of options she once did. In that sense, going back to what she knows best is being seen as the most realistic move available to her.’’

A source says, “They’ve been famous way too long not to know exactly what that would do. You don’t hold hands on a red carpet unless you want people talking. If this were real, they’d be hiding it — not putting it on display. This was deliberate. They’re enjoying it. It’s harmless, it’s fun, and it keeps them in the headlines. Her kids are in on the joke. Everyone around her knows this isn’t some big love story. This is two pros playing the publicity game. And playing it very well.”
