Tom & Jerry, moon Meal & Playin’ Possum
RANDOM TIDS & BITS- Thu 3/26/26-
“Could’ve Been The ‘Jasper & Jinx Show!’…Lunar Lunch….& It’s A Crime To Fake It!”

Tom & Jerry- Tom and Jerry were originally named Jasper and Jinx. Then, there was a contest to name them. Animator John Carr won $50 (around $1,000 in today’s cash) for coming up with the names Tom and Jerry. They were named after a cocktail, which has a holiday, eggnog vibe.
Moon Meal- The first meal eaten on the Moon was: Bacon bits . . . peaches . . . sugar cookie cubes . . . a pineapple and grapefruit drink . . . and coffee.
Playing Possum- If you play dead in order to kill or capture an enemy in a war scenario, you are committing a war crime according to the Geneva Convention.
