Post Malone is going on tour next year and he’s bringing Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell with him.  It’s called the Big [Butt] Stadium Tour and it’ll run next April to July. It’s Posty’s first-ever stadium tour, and it’ll follow the huge success of his country album “F-1 Trillion”.

Speaking of Jelly Roll, he will headline the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in February.  Prince Harry founded them in 2014.  They’re like the Olympics for veterans.  They announced it in a fun promo where Jelly says he won’t do the show unless Harry lets him give him a neck tattoo. Harry suggests something on his lower back.  But Jelly says that when it’s your first tattoo, the neck is best.

Ben Affleck is quieting the doomsayers who believe that AI is years away from destroying the film industry. He says it’s highly unlikely A.I. will take over the movie.

What counts as REAL “Country” music in 2024?  If you sing something with a cowboy hat on, is it Country now? Chris Stapleton weighed in on the debate on Lance Armstrong’s podcast, and said a lot of people forget it’s NEVER really been just one thing.  There’s always been a “broad spectrum” of music living under the Country banner. He noted that even a lot of his own stuff doesn’t fit the cookie-cutter definition of what Country music is, or was. (Here’s the clip.)

Josh Turner has a new story to share whenever he’s asked about his most UNIQUE performance.  NASA invited Josh to sing for the astronauts in space.  He was NOT shot up to the International Space Station in a rocket.  He went to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, and it was beamed up to the astronauts from there. Josh even kept it thematic, by performing “Two Steppin’ on the Moon”.  He seemed pretty excited, and called it “a one-of-a-kind gig for me.” (Josh posted a cool montage of it online.)

Billboard magazine says Jelly Roll recently visited a juvenile detention center in Houston. He played basketball with some teens and then treated them to pizza.

“Rust” has its world premiere today at a film festival in Poland, and the mother of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins is refusing to go because Alec Baldwin hasn’t apologized for her death.

Matthew McConaughey parodied his movie “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” in an ad for his Pantalones Tequila. (On a related note, Matthew revealed in a new interview that he retreated to Texas in order to get his career out of its rom-com rut.)

EGOT winner Rita Moreno is getting her own Barbie, ahead of her 93rd birthday.
