Dolly Parton‘s husband of 58 years, Carl Dean, passed away yesterday.  He was 82.  Last year, Dolly was asked about the secret to a long marriage.  She joked at first, then gave a serious answer.

Macaulay Culkin’s brotherly pride overcame him when his brother Kieran won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar on Sunday. Asked if he expected Kieran to win, Macaulay said, quote, “Of course.  Let’s be real.  We’re allowed to say that. “Yeah, bsolutely.  He was front row, aisle, closest to the stairs.  There was no way he was not going to win.”

The biggest problem with these endless horror franchises is that fans want to see their favorite characters return . . . but a lot of them are DEAD.  But hey, you can do anything in the movies, right Alex? “Scream 7” will now see the return of THREE dead characters, now that David Arquette has signed on. His character, Deputy Dewey Riley, was killed off in “Scream 5” by future Oscar winner Mikey Madison. (FYI, Mikey is now the first Ghostface to win an Oscar.)  Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley are also coming back despite their characters being dead.

There’s still no word how Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa died.  But someone posed an interesting theory.  And that someone is Dr. Michael Baden, a world-famous forensic pathologist. He thinks Gene Hackman died from cardiac arrest, and his wife died trying to get him his medication . . . either by falling and hitting her head, or suffering a cardiac event of her own.

Ben Affleck’s been leaning on Jennifer Garner a lot since he split with Jennifer Lopez.  And it sounds like he wants to do more than just lean. Jennifer is still in a long-term relationship with a guy named John Miller.  Ben supposedly respects that, and doesn’t want to come between them. (And Ben and Jen did get pretty cozy during their recent paintball outing.)

Distractify says Joe Exotic’s husband, Jorge Marquez Flores, was deported two days before his birthday. Jorge was serving time for being in the U.S. illegally. Joe wants to raise $5 million to bring his husband back. He says, “Jorge has no drug or violence on his record at all. His only mistake was being born in a country of violence and poverty.”

Zach Bryan just announced that he’s doing a show at Notre Dame Stadium on September 6th.  And singer Dermot Kennedy and comedian Shane Gillis will be his special guests. (You can check out his announcement, here.)

The Daily Mail says Jessica Alba is being romantically linked to comedian Alex Edelman. He is 35 while she is 43. The pair sparked dating rumors because they left the Vanity Fair Oscars party together. A source tells the publication, “They seemed very cozy and appeared to be more than just friends.”

Tyler Childers stopped a show in Perth, Australia the other night . . . to talk about how good the potato wedges are at their local aquarium. (Here’s the video.) (He spent most of February Down Under.  But now he’s got a bunch of tour dates lined up in the U.S. between April and October.)

Zach Top tells AmericanSongwriter.com that his first music teacher turned him on to bluegrass music. “I took my first lesson when I was five-years-old, and the teacher asked me what I wanted to learn first. I said “Amarillo by Morning” by George Strait without hesitation. That was my favorite song. She said, “That’s a nice idea, but let’s start with something simpler like “Jesus Loves Me,” and we can work our way up.” Her name was Marie Parks, and she turned me and my whole family onto the bluegrass thing.”
