Billboard Magazine says Morgan Wallen has donated $500,000 to Red Cross Hurricane Helene relief efforts. The country singer, from East Tennessee, is assisting with the aftermath of the storm that hit on Sept. 27th. Morgan posted; “My family in East Tennessee are safe, but I know many are absolutely devastated there and in multiple states. All my prayers are geared toward those tonight. Those hills and hollers are very important to me in so many ways. It is going to take a monumental effort, and I am in contact with my team and others working on ways I can help.”
If you’re a diehard fan of Morgan Wallen and Ernest, you probably know that they played high school baseball. (Ernest even thought he was going to go pro, but then he suffered a heart attack at age 19.) But Ernest says they were even RIVALS back in the day. They first met in 2010 during the Tennessee State Baseball Tournament . . . and then again in 2011. In 2010, Morgan’s team beat Ernest’s team, but Ernest got his revenge in 2011. Both winners ended up going on to take home the state championship. At a recent show, they shared the stage . . . in their old baseball unis. (For photos, hit up Ernest’s Instagram feed.)
Is roller skating back? Because nobody told me, but I’m all about it. A reality competition series called “Roller Jam” is hitting Max on Thursday, October 10th. It’s a six-episode series, hosted by former “American Idol” star Jordin Sparks, and produced by “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines. The winning team will receive $150,000, plus a $10,000 donation to their local rink. (Check out the trailer here. But the big question is, can roller skating ever reach the heights it did when Linda Blair starred in the 1979 cinematic blockbuster “Roller Boogie“??? We can only hope.)
Luke Bryan tells ABC that Carrie Underwood will have to develop a tolerance for him, Lionel Richie, and Ryan Seacrest on the upcoming season of ‘’American Idol.’’ “We start auditions in New York City, we are obviously excited to have Carrie Underwood with us. And she will have to develop tolerance for Lionel and I and Ryan [Seacrest]. We are excited for another season of Idol, we start this week. And the auditions are real work days, they’re like 13 hour days,” and that there are no breaks for any of his favorite hobbies, like fishing or golfing or hunting.
Billboard magazine says Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning will host the CMA Awards in Nashville. The awards show is scheduled for November 20th and will air live on ABC. (You can check out the promotional clip that the CMAs just posted, announcing their new host, here.)
TMZ says former “Bachelor” star Colton Underwood recently announced the birth of his first child with husband Jordan C. Brown. Baby Bishop Colton Brown-Underwood was born last Thursday.
Collider says Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that Season 3 of “Tulsa King” is currently in development. The crime drama has been a massive success since its debut on Paramount+. “Tulsa King” Season 2 is already a hit, with a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Rebel Wilson got married in Italy over the weekend.
Jason Ritter does a good impersonation of his dad.
Some guy paid over $3,000 for a guitar signed by Taylor Swift at a charity auction in Texas, then smashed it with a hammer. (Here’s the video.)
