Extra TV says Carrie Underwood faced a technical glitch yesterday while performing at President Trump’s inauguration. The backing track started but stopped, and everyone had to wait.  Eventually, you could see her tell someone, “I can just sing it.”  Then she encouraged people to sing along and launched into it.  (Here’s the video.)

Dylan Marlowe tells CountryNow.com that he gave up on his baseball dreams to be a country music artist. “My whole life was pretty much baseball up until my senior year of high school. That’s when I learned how to play the guitar. I put down the baseball glove when I picked up the guitar. I started doing Open Mic Night at a place called Locos. I started grinding there and in the south Georgia music market, and I tried to build it into what it is now.”

LoCash star Preston Brust was recently doing an interview with SongwriterUniverse.com when he said inspirations for songs can happen anywhere. It can hit you anywhere. Sometimes you’re in a conversation with somebody in Texas, and they say something a little different than the way they say something in Florida. Channing is very intelligent and creative but that’s often overlooked. Jen understands what it feels like to be underestimated. Jen naturally gravitates toward those who are self-made; it’s a better match for her and Channing is way out in front for Jen. She believes they could be soulmates as they have so much in common.

I kept checking my phone, not for my house, but for friends and family, making sure they were evacuating and everything. And then I asked my partner, I was like, ‘I’m seeing something here, what do you think?’ and he [nodded]. A lot of memento-mementos are in New York, so I didn’t lose that, thank goodness.”
