“Moana 2” held onto the top spot at the box office. “Kraven the Hunter” bombed. Hooray for Hollywood: Here are this past weekend’s box office results. 1. “Moana 2,” $26.6 million. 2. “Wicked,” $22.5 million. 3. “Kraven the Hunter,” $11 million.
Morgan Wallen has pleaded “conditionally guilty” to two counts of misdemeanor reckless endangerment . . . and there’s a wide consensus that justice has been SERVED. Just kidding, he only got seven days in “jail”, but it will be served at a DUI education center. He also will be on probation for two years . . . and he has to pay a $350 fine. Earlier last week, this case was going to a grand jury, and he was still up for THREE FELONY counts. But last Wednesday, those were dropped down to misdemeanor charges. Back in April, after he threw the chair down six stories right in front of two police officers, there was talk off him doing serious time. And that the judge might make an example out of him.
Well, this’ll put a damper on Christmas: Conan O’Brien lost both of his parents last week . . . within three days of each other. They’d been married since 1958, and were in their 90s.
TMZ says Jamie Foxx was involved in an altercation at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. Jamie was hit in the mouth with a glass thrown by another table. He had to get stitches for his injury. The police are investigating. The NY Post says diners at another table were being rude and vulgar to Jamie. One of them then threw a glass at his face. Jamie posted, “The devil is busy…but I’m too blessed to be stressed. Can’t win here…they try to bring you darkness. But they don’t know you’re built for it. The lights have been shining bright.”
With everyone talking about Dick Van Dyke these days, I guess it was a good time to announce that his 1968 kids’ movie “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” is getting a remake. Dick Van Dyke starred in the original 1968 “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” a kid-friendly musical fantasy film adapted from the children’s book by James Bond creator Ian Fleming.
Page Six says Taylor Swift was spoiled by Travis Kelce at her 35th birthday party. He showered her with gifts. Kelce had been shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Swift for months, ensuring her milestone birthday was extra special. A source says, “He is not the type to leave these things to the last minute so he’s been picking up items here and there for the past several months whenever he has a chance. Some of the “gifts are things Taylor has casually mentioned she would like. Travis makes sure to always listen even when Taylor doesn’t realize he is.” The Times of India says Travis gave Taylor $175,000 worth of birthday gifts. The gifts included a Rolex, Tiffany & Co. jewelry, and bouquets from The Million Roses. The 35 boxes of roses cost $19,325. The Rolex cost $60,350. A pendant cost $47,000 while a customized gold cuff from Tiffany cost $22,000. (Check out pictures here.)
Lindsay Lohan had a lunch date with her husband.
Did Jude Law and writer / director Nancy Meyers just tease a sequel to “The Holiday”???
I guess this means Jennifer Love Hewitt is officially back for the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” sequel.
The Billboard Music Awards went down on Thursday night and the fallout has mostly been a bunch of people angry that Beyoncé won Top Country Female Artist.
On a positive note, we heard from Morgan Wallen for the first time in a while. He blessed us with a pre-recorded thank you video after he won four awards.
Here are the biggest country music storylines from the BBMAs:
1. Morgan won big. He took the award for Top Male Artist, Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist, and Top Collaboration with Post Malone on their song “I Had Some Help”. (Here’s Morgan’s pre-recorded acceptance speech.)
2. Beyoncé won Top Country Female Artist. She beat out Lainey Wilson and Megan Moroney. Some folks are not happy about it.
3. Shaboozey won Top Song Sales Artist and Top Selling Song for “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”.
4. Zach Bryan won Top Country Touring Artist, Top Country Artist, and Top Rock Artist. The other acts up for Top Rock Artist were: Hozier, Jelly Roll, Noah Kahan, and Linkin Park.
