Jason Aldean tells radio.com that he will be thinking about family members on Veterans Day. “If I dedicated my performance to anybody, it would probably be my dad and my grandfather. Anytime I do anything like this, I think about them, and it makes me really proud that they served our country. I’ve had people tell me stories about being in Iraq or Afghanistan or wherever and playing our music over there and that helps them get through the day, and that’s really cool to hear. No ‘thank you’ begins to describe it. I’m very appreciative of them for taking care of us and me and my family.”

Tim McGraw Is A Proud American Because Of Our Troops … “We get to do a lot of things in this country. We have a lot of freedoms, and no matter ups and downs, or good or bad or whatever, it’s still the best country in the world to live in. It’s only that way because we have these guys that are out there looking out for us. It doesn’t matter what your politics are. It doesn’t matter what your religion is or any of those things. If you’re an American, you’re proud to have those guys out there, and they sacrifice quite a bit. They sacrifice everything. We just need to vocalize that as much as possible”

Sam Hunt’s Grandfather Is A Veteran … “My granddad was in World World II. He was on the USS Texas battleship, and he was over at Normandy and over near Japan and he spent a lot of time right in the thick of World War II. He really took pride in what that meant, and it was something I got to see it first hand, as somebody who got to experience that; somebody who had that galvanized American trait. It’s hard to describe it. It was just somebody who’s been through that, seen that and really appreciates what that means. I try to channel that into my life, because I haven’t fought in any war, but I have a ton of respect for folks who have, folks who’ve sacrificed, families who’ve lost lives and just sacrificed years of their own lives and time and effort to maintain those freedoms”

Brantley Gilbert Is A Proud Supporter Of The Military … “You know, I found that a lot of work that I’ve done with the military it adds a lot to my life. I invest in relationships and once I care about somebody I keep up with ‘em and make sure they’re okay, the best I can. You know, a lot of these fellas go through some stuff and it’s kind of up and down with them and I find myself on phone conversations late at night talking about things that are difficult to talk about that aren’t about me, which is really, really good for me and helps me a lot. That’s really rewarding as well. So, you know, I think sometimes it’s the little things for me that count. What I can do behind the scenes is really where I think I can help the most. I’m enjoying that right now.”

Brett Young Can’t Wait To Play For The Troops Overseas … “I feel almost selfish, but there’s something super rewarding about playing for them. They’ve given, basically their whole life to make ours better and so when you get to do something that you already love I get to play music for a living, that’s something that I love and the fact that that can be so uplifting and exciting for them … We’ve gotten to do it a few times, I think yeah, I would love to go overseas. It’s always just a matter of usually the opportunities come up when you’re on a summer tour, and it’s like, ‘Well, yeah, he would love to do it.’ So that will be something we do for sure. I don’t know when it’ll work, but we’ll make it work at some point.”

Justin Moore Wants To Be A Part Of A USO Tour So He Can Play For The Troops … “I’ve had opportunities in the past to do USO tours and things of that nature, and for whatever reason it’s just never come to fruition. That’s something I would love to have the opportunity to do. That’s kind of one of the ways that we can give back. We do play a number it seems like the summer we play a number of bases and different military spirited events. But yeah, I would love to do it for the actual troops themselves, you know, overseas or whatever that looked like, I would love to do that.”

Carly Pearce Says Her Sister Is A Captain In The Army … “I have an adopted sister who is a Captain in the Army, and just to see her perspective and I have a lot of family members and friends, especially a girlfriend comes to mind whose husband is overseas. And I think the word that comes to mind when I think of our military is selfless. And what an unbelievable example of love, what they do for us. They are continually putting their lives and their family’s lives in danger and at risk to protect us, and that’s just a really amazing thing.”

Dierks Bentley always honors his father on Veterans Day. “My dad was a second lieutenant in the Army. My dad’s older than most dads. My dad had me when he was 51, or helped have me when he was 51. It’s amazing, he served in WW2, he was in Japan, and he doesn’t tell me too many stories about it, but I know for him, he really enjoyed his time in the Army. It was a chance, he grew up in a town of 1200 people and the Army was, you know to join the army and get a chance to go overseas and see some of the world. He really enjoyed the men in his company and lost some friends over there. He doesn’t talk too much about that aspect of it, but he has nothing but good memories of being able to serve and be part of that. What a feeling that must be that I will never know, to put on that uniform, American flag patch on your shoulder, and you’re out there literally fighting for the flag, fighting with your brothers next to you and for everyone back home. So it’s just something that we can never really honestly have a sense of how that feels, but certainly we can honor them.”

The Irish Mirror says Taylor Swift’s security team had a heated altercation with photographers as she arrived for yesterday’s Chiefs game in Kansas City. They urged photographers to stand up to prevent taking photos under her skirt. Fans praised the security team for protecting Taylor. Flavor Flav and Jason Sudekis were also at the game.
