Will Evel Knievel be revving his engines this summer?  Leonardo DiCaprio is in talks to star in an Evel Knievel biopic. While there is no offer for a role, Adrian Brody is said to have met with Chazelle for the part of Shelly Saltman, the author and sports promoter who was viciously attacked by Knievel with an aluminum bat. Knievel received jail time, lost his endorsements and declared bankruptcy.

The Daily Mail says a new John Wick movie is in production, but uncertainty looms over Keanu Reeves reprising his role as the beloved assassin. Reeves himself has hinted that his character may be dead. 

“John Wick” director Chad Stahelski says there isn’t any truth to the “Sad” Keanu Reeves meme. Have you seen it?  Keanu is sitting solo on a park bench eating a sandwich…but I think it would be more strange if he was sitting on a park bench, eating a sandwich, and laughing by himself for 20 minutes…. Chad said that he’s actually a very happy, enthusiastic, incredibly positive guy. (For the record, Keanu has previously said he wasn’t sad, and was just eating and thinking.)

Footwear News says Jelly Roll and Hey Dude are launching a new limited-edition “tattoo” shoe. The shoe, Jelly Roll Suede Debossed Wally, features an intricate black suede “tattoo” design inspired by Jelly’s own tatts.  Priced at $84.99, the shoe goes on sale on Monday 

“Othello”, starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, just set the record for highest-grossing week for a Broadway play.  The average ticket price was an insane $338. 

Lena Dunham is writing a movie about crypto fraud Samuel Bankman-Fried. Bankman-Fried founded FTX in 2019, and the cryptocurrency exchange enjoyed a rise to prominence that included the company’s commercial running during the 2022 Super Bowl. FTX boasted endorsements from such celebrities as Tom Brady, Stephen Curry and Larry David. In March, the disgraced crypto entrepreneur was sentenced to 25 years in prison and forced to forfeit over $11 billion following his conviction on charges of fraud, conspiracy and money laundering.
