It’s hard to believe, but at the Golden Globes last night, Demi Moore won her first award for acting. Like, EVER. And she let the crowd know it in an emotional speech that was pretty much the highlight of the night. Demi won Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for “The Substance”, and noted that she’s been acting for over 45 years. (Check out her speech here.) Other winners included “The Brutalist”, “Shogun”, “Emilia Perez”, and “Hacks”.
MediaPost says this year’s Golden Globe winners are receiving gift bags worth over $1 million. That’s double the value from last year. Gifts include $60,000 luxury yacht charters, a $15,000 Nordic Track treadmill, $1,300 organic sheets, high-end beauty products, a $40,000 non-surgical stem cell facelift, a $100 dose of vitamin C serum, a $2,000 bottle of tequila and a private $48,000 helicopter flight to see the Northern Lights in Finland.
Hooray for Hollywood: Here are this past weekend’s box office results.
1. “Mufasa: The Lion King,” $23.8 million.
2. “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” $21.2 million.
3. “Nosferatu,” $13.2 million.
4. “Moana 2,” $12.4 million.
5. “Wicked,” $10.2 million.
Aubrey Plaza’s husband Jeff Baena took his own life on Friday. Baena directed Aubrey in several movies, including “Life After Beth”, “The Little Hours”, and “Spin Me Round”. Aubrey and Jeff got married in 2020, during the pandemic, using a website called 1HourMarriage.com. They’d already been together 10 years by that point.
The donkey who inspired Eddie Murphy’s character in “Shrek” passed away after suffering a hoof disease. He was 30 and lived at a pasture in Palo Alto, California. The hoof disease was very painful. Perry’s handler says he was feisty and funny, with a playful personality.
Megan Moroney is single and apparently NOT ready to mingle. And it’s because she’s just too busy. “So, introducing, or even just like trying to get to know someone right now . . . I’m exhausted. And then I have a whole tour [in 2025] . . . so, maybe in 2026 I’ll get a boyfriend.” And Megan isn’t lying. The reigning “New Artist of the Year” at the CMAs has a fully loaded year ahead. Her “Am I Okay?” Tour starts on March 20th and continues through October 12th. And in addition to that, she will also be appearing at the Extra Innings Festival . . . Gulf Coast Jam . . . Barefoot Country Music Festival . . .

OK! Magazine says Morgan Wallen had a wake-up call with his recent court case and is striving to turn his life around. A source says, “After wrapping his tour, he decided to take time for himself and just be with his son. Morgan kind of disappeared. He was supposed to attend some events in those months, most notably the CMA Awards, which named him Artist of the Year. But he decided to lay low. Morgan is generally a nice, fun person to hang out with, but when he gets going he doesn’t know when to stop. Morgan and alcohol is a problem and it’s been a problem that keeps coming back around.”
Music Mayhem says Texas bartender Renee Brown was working on Christmas Eve when Post Malone tipped her $20,000. She was in tears. Brown, a single mom working two jobs, was overwhelmed by the generosity. Brown expressed deep appreciation for the life-changing gift, which will help her with transportation, rent, and saving to start a business.
Jelly Roll tells The New York Times that many people don’t know that he got engaged and married on the same night. “I was on stage and saw her in the audience and decided to propose to her right there. Then I thought, “You know, the courthouse is still open. We should just get married right now!” So we went to the courthouse right before it closed and got our marriage license.”
Fox News says ‘Spider-Man’ star Tom Holland broke up a fight at a Los Angeles Whole Foods. He says, “They’re like going at it, right behind me. I can see that he’s recognized me immediately, and you could see the wheels turning, like, ‘I’m really angry, but Spider-Man is telling me to calm down.’ So, yeah, I go to the supermarket.” Tom Holland tells Men’s Health magazine that he plans to quit acting when he has children. “When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore. Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”
Pamela Anderson tells W magazine that she thought she was going to marry her childhood crush, Michael Jackson. “Michael Jackson. I thought he would want to marry me. Then I met him, and he didn’t ask me to marry him! I was really disappointed.”
