Political scandals are in New Jersey’s DNA.  But this is easily the most egregious one I’ve ever heard of:  Congressman Josh Gottheimer posted a screenshot of his Spotify Wrapped last Friday, and it was ALL-SPRINGSTEEN.  The top five tracks were “Thunder Road”, “Because the Night”, “Glory Days”, “Badlands”, and “The Rising”.  But people quickly figured out that it was PHOTOSHOPPED!  That’s right, he FAKED IT!!!  Josh quickly went into damage control, saying, quote, “This would be my Spotify Wrapped if I didn’t share my account with my 12 and 15-year-old kids.  While it’s Springsteen all day for me, don’t get me wrong, I still love listening to Taylor Swift!”  He added, quote, “To paraphrase the Boss: I wasn’t here for business baby, I was only here for fun.  So just relax.  This was a fun holiday tweet.  It’s a joke to question my Springsteen creds, just ask my dog named Rosalita!”

There was a mini-“Gilmore Girls” reunion, when Lauren Graham and Danny Strong bumped into each other.

The top three artists who had the strongest presence on country radio in 2024 were:  Morgan Wallen . . . Jelly Roll . . . and Nate Smith.
