Bruce Willis made a rare public appearance to thank first responders battling the L.A. wildfires, and Stephen King said what a lot of people are thinking: The Oscars should be canceled. But the Academy has no plans to do that. Unless things change, the show will go on March 2nd. Taylor Swift issued a statement calling the fires “heartbreaking”, and listed several charities she’s donated to.
Shaboozey postponed his Grand Ole Opry debut due to the wildfires in L.A. He posted; “I was so excited and deeply honored to make my Opry debut this Saturday [January 18]. However due to the devastating wildfires in L.A., we’ll need to postpone this special moment to a later date. My thoughts are with everyone affected, and I want to express my immense gratitude to the brave first responders and firefighters who are tirelessly battling these fires. Thank you for all that you do.”
RadarOnline.com says Angelina Jolie allegedly plans to transform her children into real-life action heroes because of the L.A. wildfires. A source says Jolie wants to make her kids self-sufficient by enrolling them in survivalist and martial arts classes so they can defend and provide for themselves. “She’s also always been interested in the martial arts and defending herself. She has trained in martial arts for action roles in movies like Tomb Raider and wants her kids to become experts as well. The wildfires were a wakeup call that cash won’t protect her family in an ‘end of days’ scenario. She also wants them to learn how to survive in the wild for a few days because you just never know when these skills might come in handy.”
Donald Trump has named Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, and Jon Voight as his “special ambassadors” to Hollywood. His goal is to bring business that’s been lost to foreign countries back to the U.S.
Justin Baldoni is suing Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for $400 million, claiming they orchestrated a smear campaign against him and tried to take control of their movie, “It Ends with Us”. Maybe worst of all, Justin claims Blake made fun of his nose, and said he should get plastic surgery.
Director David Lynch died yesterday, after battling emphysema. He was 78. Former Major Leaguer and actor Bob Uecker also passed yesterday, due to lung cancer. He was 90 years old. (Check out more tributes here.)
The season finale of “Landman” on Paramount+ just aired on Sunday night, and a lot of people are talking about how much they loved the show. And some even got in a fight over it. Like Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn. But that was because she walked in when there were scantily clad women on the screen. Busted! The acting from Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Demi Moore, and Jon Hamm is all top notch, but the country-inspired soundtrack is what really keeps us coming back. All of the props to creator, Taylor Sheridan, who continues to bring country music to the masses.
Here are our favorite songs from the show:
1. “Debtor’s Blues” by Vincent Neil Emerson
2. “Take Me Home” by Tanner Usrey
3. “Another Bad Apple” by Ward Davis
4. “Make Me Wanna Smoke” by Ella Langley
5. “Empty as a Drum” by Turnpike Troubadours
6. “Heartless” by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats
7. “How Lucky Am I” by Kaitlin Butts
8. “Something in the Orange” by Zach Bryan
9. “Moment of Truth” by The Red Clay Strays
10. “Hillbilly Hippie” by Lainey Wilson
