Luke Combs was asked who he would want to play him in a movie about his life.  And his answer is someone who is no longer alive.

Kip Moore has a few suggestions for how to fix country music awards shows.  It starts with getting rid of all non-country music collaborations.

Years ago, someone came up with a theory that Mary Poppins and Pennywise the Clown from “It” are members of the SAME SPECIES. And when you examine it closely, it kinda checks out. Let’s take a look at the evidence:

  1. Both creatures resurface every 20-something years.  With Pennywise, it’s 27.  Mary comes back every 25 or so.  And they both seem to gravitate toward the same people they interacted with the last time. For Pennywise it’s the Loser’s Club. For Mary, the Banks children.
  2. They both “feed” on children.  Pennywise feeds on their fear, while Mary feeds on their joy.  Which is interesting, because if you remember “Monsters, Inc.”, you get way more energy out of a child’s laughter than its screams.
  3. Both stories feature a child named Georgie, who’s lured away from his siblings with a paper object.  In “It” it’s the paper boat.  In “Mary Poppins”, it’s a kite.
  4. They each have the power to manipulate kids’ imaginations.  And despite the creation of these wild, alternate realities, the adults remain oblivious to it all.
  5. Despite how crazy their experiences are, the kids forget them as they age.
  6. Then there’s the balloons.  At the end of “Mary Poppins Returns”, everyone floats into the air holding a balloon.  And we all know how Pennywise loves his red balloons . . . and making children float. (Check out even more details here.)
