Ben & Jerry’s has launched a new flavor called Chocolate Covered Strawberry. The ice cream features a creamy strawberry base with strawberry jam swirls and rich chocolate fudge flakes. 

Papa John’s is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a limited edition Garlic Sauce Bath Bomb. It is inspired by their famous garlic dipping sauce. Fans can get their hands on the bath bomb by sharing their love for the sauce on social media. The chain is also offering a heart-shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day.  Papa John’s says it would cost $475 to fill a bathtub full of their garlic dipping sauce. 

A new study by Spain’s University of Murcia and Harvard Medical School reveals that eating milk chocolate helps burn fat. Researchers found that eating 100g of chocolate within an hour of waking or an hour before bed had different effects on the human body. A high amount of chocolate eaten in the morning assists in burning body fat. The practice of eating large amounts of chocolate in the morning has the most benefits for women over 45. 

The World’s Ugliest Dog Contest has been canceled and will not take place at this year’s Petaluma Fair. The event is usually a highlight of the fair, drawing a national audience. Organizers are instead going to focus on traditional exhibits like livestock shows

Some schools are banning Crocs. Administrators are seeing a rise in falls from students wearing the clogs. Many students don’t use the Crocs safety strap. Other administrators say the shoes are a distraction because students throw them at one another or spend time in class trading their collectible charms 

Valentine’s Day roses may break the bank this year, with the national average for a dozen at $90.50. Factors like supply chain issues and weather are jacking up prices. Hawaii residents face the steepest cost at $143 a dozen, while California offers the most affordable dozen at $68.33. 

Chocolate prices are up 20% this Valentine’s Day due to soaring cocoa prices. Cocoa prices have increased by 143% in the last year.
