Happy National Stress Awareness Day!  It’s not always right after the election, but it’s good timing.  The “Sesame Street” socials are trending after their characters started posting encouraging messages to help people de-stress. Cookie Monster wrote, “It’s okay to take a break today.  It even better if it includes cookies.”

Happy National Nacho Day!  A poll found 80% of Americans like them, 5% don’t, and 15% are neutral.  That’s good enough to make them our FAVORITE Mexican food.  Burritos are next at 79%. 

In a last-minute poll for Election Day, 28% of Americans said they didn’t even care who won.  They just wanted the election to be over.  

In a poll, 30% of people say they prefer holding hands with interlocked fingers . . . 20% would rather do it with cupped hands . . . and 38% say they’re fine with both equally.  4% said “neither.” 

A researcher in Switzerland said that people who have trouble falling asleep can drift off faster if they warm their feet with socks or a heating pad

Millennial trends that are no longer “cool,” according to Gen Z, include:  Monochrome furniture . . . skinny jeans . . . taking photos of your food . . . side parts as a hairstyle . . . and loving Disney as an adult.  

Wearing green can make you more relaxed and less anxious. Psychologist Ellen Albertson says that green tends to be soothing and may lift your spirits. Several studies suggest that green and blue colors have a calming effect on mood and physiology.

A regional court in China rejected a woman’s lawsuit against her son and his ex-wife for $18,000 in back wages owed for taking care of her grandson. The court ruled against the grandmother, citing a lack of contractual evidence or proof of expenses. The judge also invoked “Chinese tradition” in the decision, saying the grandmother was obligated to help in raising her family’s next generation.

A video of a drunk pig is making the rounds on TikTok. Her name is Strawberry, and she lives in Colorado.  Her owners had a bunch of leftover beer from the Fourth of July sitting in their garage and she found it.  She broke the cans open and drank a BUNCH of it. They started filming when they saw her stumbling around outside and said she was “so drunk”. If she was hungover the next day, she hid it well.  They say she seemed “fit as a fiddle” the next morning.

Sting and Jennifer Hudson are joining  ‘The Voice’ as a mega mentors. Sting will assist coaches Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani, while Hudson will aid Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire’s teams.
