The pricey new Halloween trend of “Boo Baskets” is putting a financial strain on cash-strapped parents. The Boo Baskets trend has gained steam on TikTok and involves parents purchasing gifts for their kids’ lavish Halloween goodie baskets. One upset parent recently posted on Reddit, “There’s already costumes, trick-or-treating, fall festivals, hay rides, pumpkin carving, corn mazes, state fair…do we really need to add more? Absolutely no hate if you love doing this for your kids because I know I’m definitely over the top in other areas. It just feels a bit much for me.”

A poll on offensive Halloween costumes found most people think it’s still okay for a man to dress as a woman, or vice versa.  But this is surprising:  33% think it’s still acceptable to wear BLACK FACE. 

A 2024 study published in the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization reveals that attractive people are perceived as more helpful, selfless, kind, and caring than average looking people. Participants in the study believe attractive people are more generous in giving money.

Garth Brooks recently purchased a piece of the Vanderbilt Commodores’ goalpost to display in his Nashville bar, Friends in Low Places. The goalpost was torn down by fans after Vandy’s monumental win against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Brooks acquired the pad that was on the goalpost. He plans to have players from the Vanderbilt football team sign it.

Morgan Wallen’s “One Night at a Time” tour just wrapped last week in Charlotte.  Over the past two years, his tour saw over 3.1 million fans. It is the Highest Selling Country Music Tour of All Time.
