The French government recommends wearing new jeans for up to a month before washing them. Experts say washing denim every 10-15 wears maintains their quality and reduces waste. They also emphasize spot washing clothes to preserve them. They say, “Washing denim too much places stress on its fibres, which results in weakening and fading over time. Let them hang dry instead of washing entirely. Wash jeans in cold water with gentle detergent and inside out. Jeans should not be put in the dryer as air drying helps maintain shape and colour.

A recent study at Switzerland’s ETH Zurich has led to the creation of a gel that prevents hangovers. The gel breaks down alcohol in the digestive system thus preventing hangovers. The gel works by transforming alcohol into harmless acetic acid before it enters the bloodstream so no intoxication takes place.Scientists suggest the gel could be beneficial for those who want to moderate their alcohol intake without giving it up completely.
