Researchers found no link between coffee consumption during a pregnancy and a child’s neurodevelopmental difficulties. They analyzed data from tens-of-thousands of families and concluded that caffeine fears may be overstated. The study suggests that expectant mothers can enjoy a cup of coffee without significant risks to their children’s development.

Health experts advise consuming more water or unsweetened beverages to avoid the negative impact of sugary drinks.

A blind taste test done by researchers for Oregon State University found that the stopper — be it natural cork, synthetic cork, or a cap — makes no discernible difference in taste. However, in a second study, consumers who were given a choice between the two kinds of stoppers were much more likely to choose corked wine, saying it was of better quality.
