Today is National Pickle Day.  A poll asked, “Do you ever drink the pickle juice straight from the jar?”  And 26% of people say they have done it. 

Taco Bell is set to debut crispy chicken nuggets at select locations. The fast-food chain has been experimenting with various chicken offerings. The nuggets are going to be soaked in a mild jalapeno buttermilk and then coated with a breading that contains crunchy tortilla bits. The nuggets should debut in late December 

A recent study by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases found that beer drinkers have poorer diets than wine drinkers. Beer drinkers not only have lower-quality diets they also do less physical activity, and are more likely to smoke.

There’s new data out on how much alcohol you can drink and still be healthy, but it’s nothing earth-shattering.  Two drinks a week is “low risk”, three to six drinks is “moderate risk”, and seven or more “increasingly high.” 

Jeff Bezos recently invested in a robot company that makes robots that fold laundry. Physical Intelligence’s bots can also pack eggs and simplify household chores. 

Disney visitors say the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride is too wet. The ride replaced Splash Mountain at Florida’s Walt Disney World and California’s Disneyland. Riders are not warned about how soaked they will get. They say there are inches of water in the bottom of the cars. 

The average American man has EIGHT friends total . . . including five “general” friends, three “close” friends, and two “best” friends.  And they spend an average of four hours connecting with friends every week.

A Cardiff, England grandmother is going viral because she charges her family for Christmas dinner. Caroline Duddridge insists on payments from all guests including her grandkids to offset expenses. Fees range from $6 to $18. Caroline starts buying holiday food in October to save money. She previously faced a revolt from family members over the charges. Caroline always defends her actions, saying charges are necessary to keep her festive finances in check. “I’ve been charging for Christmas since 2016. I don’t care if I’m called a money-grabbing granny who takes advantage of her family – people have said worse so it’s water off a duck’s back. I shouldn’t have to pay for presents, all the food, do the shopping, cooking, electricity and cleaning. Plus it costs to heat the house when they are there. I’m not being a scrooge. I am being sensible. My festive finances depend on it.”

Jason Kelce has surpassed Mariah Carey on the Christmas song charts with his duet with Stevie Nicks. Their song “Maybe This Christmas” is currently the number one holiday song of the season.
