British scientists have developed a banana that does not brown. The Norwich, England-based biotech company Tropic is behind this genetic modification. The banana stays firm, fresh, and yellow for 24 hours even when sliced. Tropic’s scientists identified an enzyme called polyphenol oxidase, which causes banana browning. They then disabled it

The egg shortage could last until 2028 due to increased demand and bird flu outbreaks. Analysts predict egg prices will keep rising because of a potential shortfall of 500 million eggs this year.

There’s apparently a new workplace term kicking around called “task masking,” which is where employees spend a lot of time and effort just trying to LOOK like they’re working hard.  When, in reality, they’re hardly doing ANYTHING. And, it sounds like it’s most popular with young, Gen Z workers.  There are videos on TikTok that offer advice for task masking.  Stuff like:  Walking fast with a laptop stuffed under your armpit . . . and typing really loud. It sounds a little corny, but some managers are saying that it’s a trend they’re actually seeing trickle into their workforce. But honestly, it’s something that’s ALWAYS been a thing that people do . . . now we just give everything names.  Remember “quiet quitting” and “quiet firing“?

The hot new trend at Milan Fashion Week was low-cut jeans . . . with a hint of plumber’s crack showing, for both men and women.  Naturally, a lot of people are hoping this doesn’t become the hot new look. 

Academics at the Australian National University surveyed 808 young adults from 33 different countries, including the United States, to uncover the differences between the sexes when it comes to romance. The findings revealed that the average man takes a little over four weeks to fall head over heels, while women move much more slowly.
