A Polar Plunge, in Waco, Texas, has been postponed because it is too cold. Originally set for tomorrow, the plunge will now take place on March 1st due to freezing temperatures. Donations for the event, benefiting Special Olympics Texas, are still being accepted online.
People are using Aquafaba, the gross, gooey liquid from canned chickpeas, as an alternative to eggs and egg whites because of the egg shortage. Aquafaba provides the same emulsifying action and weight as egg whites. Some bartenders are using Aquafaba in cocktails that require egg whites
Taco Bell and Milk Bar have joined forces to offer a Birthday Cake Churro filled with frosting and sprinkles. Available for a limited time, the churros can be purchased at select Taco Bell locations.
Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs is giving away cans of New York tap water. With most Americans in cold weather states boiling hot dogs during this time of year, Nathan’s Famous thought it would help out, “because if you’re going to boil a hot dog, why not try it the 100% New York way.” The limited-edition cans will be available in select states for a limited time. TO STAND OUT, PARENTS GIVE THEIR BABIES OUTLANDISH NAMES – Each new generation of parents are faced with a unique set of challenges that their parents before them never encountered. However, a survey of parents finds that many may be doing their children a serious disservice all in the name of potential social media followers. In all, 7 percent of respondents said they’ve given their kid a made-up name, with half of them choosing a name with social media in mind. HP tech support added 15-minute minimum wait times for telephone support calls, to force people to use their online resources to solve their own problems. The 15 minutes have been added in Europe and are expected to be added in the United States too.
