Newser says actress Q’orianka Kilcher, who played Pocahontas in ‘The New World’, is suing famed director James Cameron and Disney. She claims he used a Los Angeles Times photo of her at age 14 to shape his Avatar character Neytiri. The suit cites Cameron’s statements that Kilcher was the “source” for Neytiri’s lower face,  lips, chin, jawline, and mouth shape.

“Hocus Pocus 3” is in the works, with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy all coming back.

Variety magazine says Larry the Cable Guy is going to host a new syndicated clip show called ‘’American Mayhem’’.  It is going to launch in the Fall and will feature funny viral videos.

Ted Turner died yesterday after a battle with Lewy body dementia.  He was 87.  Turner was a pioneer in cable TV and cable news. As the founder of CNN, Turner was the godfather of cable news.  He also revolutionized cable itself, with channels like TNT, TBS, Turner Classic Movies and the Cartoon Network. He was married 3 times, his last and most famous marriage, to Jane Fonda, lasted from 1991 to 2001. He was worth almost $3 billion. Fonda issued a very long statement saying, quote, “I loved Ted with all my heart” . . . adding that he, quote, “swept into my life, a gloriously handsome, deeply romantic, swashbuckling pirate and I’ve never been the same.”

Billboard put together a playlist to celebrate all the mamas in your life. The playlist for Mother’s Day includes Taylor Swift’s “The Best Day”, Beyoncé’s “Protector”, and “Mother” by John Lennon. (You can see more here.)

The News International says some think Katy Perry is bad for Justin Trudeau’s image. A source says, “Sure, Katy has a ton of money and brings her global fame into any relationship she gets into, but Justin is a former head of state and his name and face can open a lot of doors. He came into this situation with a whole lot of credibility. Justin thinks he can juggle being a voice of reason on the international stage and dating a larger-than-life personality like Katy,  but that’s not what’s happening. It is a bad look for Justin. He’s too happy in love to worry about that.”

Corey Kent tells CountryNow.com that he wasn’t sure he could continue doing music after the COVID lockdown. “2020, when the whole world was shut down was a bad time. I was working at a motorcycle shop and the pavement company, playing at the restaurant down the street, just because my soul had to. It was the only place that allowed live music. That was the toughest part, because I never knew if music was coming back around and never knew if I was going to get another chance to build my career, another chance to go for my dreams.”

Luke Combs was doing a recent interview with Time magazine when he said people like him because he looks like someone they would meet at the bar. “I think the thing that maybe people like about me is that I’m not that interesting. I look like the guy that’s belly up to the bar on a Friday night complaining about their job. People see me and believe they could come up and have a conversation with me.”

Tucker Wetmore tells CountryNow.com that growing up surrounded by women taught him a lot. “Growing up, I had four sisters and a beautiful mother, so it was a lot of women in the house, but it taught me a lot of things and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. There’s definitely times where I thought, “It’d be really nice to go out with another male and throw the ball out in the yard.” But looking back at it now, I learned so much about how to care for women, and how to be a provider, at a really young age, even though there wasn’t much I could do back then. Now I’m taking all those lessons and putting them into real life, like providing for my family, taking care of them, making sure they’re good mentally and financially.”

Morgan Wallen tells CountryNow.com that he wanted to be a baseball star when he was younger. “I didn’t grow up being a performer, really. I played baseball. I wanted to be a star in the MLB, but the siren call of music changed that dream.”

OK! magazine says Hollywood producers are allegedly thinking about turning a portion of Jennifer Aniston’s life, including her breakup with Brad Pitt, into a TV series. A source says, “There’s been discussions within the TV industry about revisiting that entire chapter of Jen’s break-up with Brad and turning it into a drama as network and streaming bosses known it would be a ratings winner. From the perspective of producers and studios, it’s also seen as a story that still carries huge cultural weight. Even after all this time, that break-up hasn’t really faded from public memory. A new study found that 59% of Gen Z will cancel or renew a streaming service based on one TV show or movie.  Also, 71% stopped buying physical music and 70% won’t buy physical movies or TV shows.

Kane Brown tells CountryNow.com that some of his tattoos signify his love for his family. “I got this Chinese symbol on Mother’s day with my mom, and it means love.  My mom found it. ARY News says Kim Kardashian has allegedly decided to take the bar exam again. She will retake it after multiple failed attempts. Kim has been studying and plans a new attempt later this year.

RadarOnline.com says Britney Spears’ sons have no interest in becoming her conservators. A source says, “They love her deeply – but they’re not taking on that role. The Blast says former NFL reporter Dianna Russini is allegedly ready to talk about her  affair with Pats coach Mike Vrabel. Sources say she may do a major TV interview.  “Dianna is ready to talk, and everyone from Good Morning America to 60 Minutes is clamoring to get her to do a sit down. But she doesn’t want to do it to bash Mike… she wants to do it so she can potentially reclaim her story, and reclaim the potential to get her career back on track. BroBible says Pats coach Mike Vrabel and former NFL journalist Dianna Russini took a private boat trip in Putnam County, Tennessee in June 2021.  They were the only people on the boat for two to three hours.   Russini was pregnant at the time with her first child named Michael. Vrabel and Russini have reportedly had an intimate relationship since 2020.
