Texas Camp Girls Raise Over $22K with Lemonade Stand for Flood Victims & Goat Rescued After Nearly A Week Stranded On Cliff
A group of young campers from Lubbock, Texas turned a simple lemonade stand into a powerful act of kindness—raising over $22,000 for those impacted by the recent Texas floods. The girls, with the help of fellow campers and parents, squeezed 300 lemons, mixed in 20 pounds of sugar, and added 12 quarts of berry purée to create their special lemonade blend.
Parent Andrea Tirey says the girls learned an important life lesson: helping others in times of sorrow can create hope. Fellow moms say they’re proud of the girls for leading with love, unity, and compassion during such a difficult time.
Climbers in Hawaii rescued a goat that was stranded on the side of a cliff for a week. Once they got her off the cliff, a guy carried her down a path on his back. An animal rescue place took her in, and she’s in good health. It turns out she’s pregnant. They’re accepting donations to help pay for everything. They’re calling it their “GOAT Fund Me” campaign.
