Taylor’s First Gold Record Went to Eric Church — Sort Of
Eric Church has a great story about Taylor Swift. Back in 2006, Eric was dropped as the opener for the Rascal Flatts tour . . . and then replaced by a 16-year-old Taylor. He joked that she owed him her first gold record. At a festival soon after, Taylor handed him her very first gold record. It said, “To Eric, thanks for playing too long and too loud on the tour. Sincerely, Taylor.” Pretty cool memento. But Eric didn’t even get to keep it. The record now lives in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Denzel Washington’s name is actually pronounced “DEN-zuhl”. You’re supposed to emphasize the first syllable and clip the second one. But it’s really not our fault we’ve been pronouncing it wrong. His mom started calling him den-ZEL because he and his father were both named DEN-zuhl, and she got tired of both of them answering when she called that name. So she changed the pronunciation of her son’s name. (Check out video here. Skip ahead to 7:36.)

Jacob Black was played by Taylor Lautner, Edward Cullen was played by Robert Pattinson.I was team Edward all day long. Bella, Edward, and Jacob were one of the biggest love triangles of the early aughts, and I was totally into it. I remember having a girl weekend watch party at my house.
Dolly Parton just announced that she’s postponing her December shows at Caesars Palace. She explained that she’s been dealing with ongoing health issues and her team insisted she take care of them now. The six shows have been rescheduled for September of next year. She will undergo a few procedures that are not plastic surgery. She assures fans she will still be working on projects in Nashville.
