Tampa Bus Driver Praised After Rescuing Lost Toddler in Morning Traffic
Transit officials in Tampa released video of bus driver Barbara Baker, who’s being hailed as a hero after spotting a small boy wandering alone in the street early Tuesday morning. It happened around 7 a.m., when Baker noticed the child—still in his pajamas—had wandered away from home and stepped into traffic. She stopped her bus immediately, called for help, and stayed with the boy until police arrived. Officers reunited him with his family about 20 minutes later.
