A powerful scene unfolded on a Sacramento highway this week after a medical helicopter went down, seriously injuring all three people on board.
Before emergency crews could even arrive, a group of about 15 strangers ran toward the wreckage—and together, lifted the helicopter so rescuers could reach a female paramedic trapped inside
As of the latest update, all three people on board remain in critical condition. Officials say the female paramedic is in critical but stable condition.
