The chili peppers and their natural heat slow down a person’s eating speed and make you eat less during a meal.  Scientists recommend spicing up meals for a natural way to feel fuller and eat less. 

Mountain Dew has launched a new line of jean shorts called Mountain Dew Djorts. The neon green jorts have a built-in bungee cord, an ear pod pocket, a cooler pocket, and an oversized utility pocket. Only 85 pairs are available.

A recent study from the University of Montreal reveals that consuming caffeine before bed increases brain signal complexity. Researchers say caffeine before bed reduces deep sleep activity while increasing wakefulness, especially in younger individuals. If you want a good night’s sleep, skip the coffee before hitting the hay.

The new Nintendo Switch 2 game console goes on sale tonight at midnight. IGN says customers have already scrambled to secure pre-orders.  Some stores are posting ‘Out of Stock’ signs because they are already out of the consoles or they are doing their own effective advertising to create consumer demand. 

A woman on TikTok is being roasted for a “hack” she learned from her Italian grandmother.  In the video, she uses a cut cucumber to “grease” a pan to make a slippery fried egg.  But commenters note that she’s using a non-stick pan . . . and argue that NO Italian grandmother would pass on using oil. 

A new study published in Scientific Reports reveals that more than 50% of adults are habitual snoozers. The average person hits the snooze button more than two times to sneak in an extra few minutes of sleep in the morning. Dr. Dennis Auckley, of the Center for Sleep Medicine, says the habit is actually bad for your health. “The sleep community doesn’t advocate for ‘snoozing’ repeatedly through alarms for several reasons. You’ll be cycling back and forth between generally light, non-restorative sleep and being awake. This is not restful, and potentially means you could be missing out on consolidated better, deeper stages of sleep.
