Ryan Gosling: Never Meet Your Heroes—Unless It’s Harrison Ford

Bruce Willis’ mother is still alive . . . and still making a difference. 90-year-old Marlene Willis has been a volunteer with the LAPD for 22 years.  She works at the West L.A. station three days a week, reviewing police reports, making notes, and checking grammar. Some of her co-workers don’t even know she has a famous son, because she doesn’t bring him up.

Lainey Wilson says she was broke when she met her fiancé Devlin “Duck” Hodges in 2021.  A few weeks after they met, her sister had to Venmo her a couple hundred bucks.

Ryan Gosling says never meet your heroes unless they’re Harrison Ford.  Quote, “He’s as cool as you want him to be.” On the “New Heights” podcast, he shared a few examples of how Harrison Ford is “not like us.”  Like, did you know that he stapled his Indiana Jones hat to his head while filming “Raiders of the Lost Ark”? Ryan said, quote, “His hat kept coming off.  He’s riding the horse . . . They were trying to tape it and he said, ‘Forget it.  Give me a stapler.’  And he stapled it to his head.” (Harrison previously told the story back in 2023 during a “GQ” interview.) Another example is when Harrison punched Ryan during a scene in “Blade Runner 2049”.  Quote, “When they brought me ice for my face, he took the ice away, he put his fist in it, and he said, ‘I forgive you.’  “And then they brought me Advil.  I went to take two Advil and he took the whole thing, and he housed like 15 of them.” (That’s 3,000 mg of Ibuprofen!!!)

Zach Top has an ambidextrous golf swing.  He swings right-handed and then putts left-handed.  In the same round. In case you were wondering, Zach is left-handed . . . but plays his guitar right-handed.

Darth Vader‘s breathing is trademarked.

“The Wizard of Oz” will air on free broadcast TV later this year, for the first time in almost three decades.

In light of April Fool’s Day, Nate Smith recently talked about the time he pranked Morgan Wallen on the first night of their tour in 2024.  Nate was trying to be funny, so he threw a full drink at him onstage. He says, quote, “Morgan forgave me.  He should have kicked me off the tour, but we laughed about it.  We talked it through . . . Morgan, if you’re listening, I love you.  Thank you for not pranking me back, by the way.  “You made me think you were going to the entire tour and you didn’t.  You held back because you’re a man who walks in grace.  Thank you, sir.”

A one-and-a-half-inch dreadlock of Bob Marley’s hit an online auction block in the U.K.  It’s expected to make up to $33,120 . . . which is about 25,000 British pounds. According to the listing, this is the first genuine example of Marley’s hair to be sold in 20 years. A fan got it back in 1978 when he performed “Satisfy My Soul” on the BBC’s “Top of the Pops” program.  All she did was ASK him for it. The fan says quote, “He just kept nodding and chuckling and appeared amused by it so I twisted a piece of his dreadlock off.  And he of course gave me his autograph as well.  I’ve kept it in my autograph album ever since.” The auction closes Thursday, April 9th.

It’s hard to believe, but the Webby Awards are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year.  And they’re doing it with the help of Sydney Sweeney’s bathwater. Remember when Dr. Squatch sold soap that was allegedly made with Sydney’s bathwater?  Well, that insanity has been nominated for a Webby for Best Viral PR Campaign. Sydney’s competition includes Kendall Jenner and her “Bet on Kendall” ad for Fanatics Sportsbook. Webby winners will be announced on April 21st, and there will be an actual ceremony on May 11th. (There are about 75 BILLION Webby categories.  You can see them all, and cast your votes here.)
