Remembering the Living: Michael J. Fox Survives a CNN Slip-Up

I don’t know anyone who isn’t dreading the day we lose Michael J. Fox.  Except maybe CNN. They’re so eager for it, that they jumped the gun yesterday and posted an article and video titled, “Remembering the life of actor Michael J. Fox”. Michael’s rep quickly denied his death, saying he’s “doing great,” and noting that he was just at a major media event called PaleyFest on Tuesday, where he was giving interviews. Then CNN issued a statement saying, quote, “The package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family.” As morbid as it sounds, media outlets DO get a jump on producing obits and memorial pieces for certain celebrities. But in doing so, they run the risk of accidentally posting them prematurely, as CNN just did.

Taylor Sheridan is so hot right now.  He is going to produce a 4-D film about the Battle of the Alamo. It’s for the new Alamo Visitor Center and Museum in San Antonio that opens next year. He says, quote, “To chronicle the sacrifice made by the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives defending the Alamo is an honor I eagerly accept.”

A source says the rift between them started when Tom Holland visited the set, and Sydney flirted with him. (You can check out what the cast wore to the premiere here.)

Ty Myers was doing a recent interview for CountryNow.com when he said he likes to go on late night drives when he can. “I’m big on late-night drives with no destination. That’s when I feel the most clear-headed, just music on and the road. I’ think I’d drive the bus after shows if they’d let me.”

Bunnie Xo tells Complex magazine that she is still sore from her facelift. “I still can’t laugh, I’m still in a lot of pain, I still feel like my throat’s closing right now as we talk. Granted, it’s only been two weeks. I have zero patience. I did it to myself and it is what it is. I’m not over here complaining, but I am gonna always give you the real because this is exactly the reality of getting a facelift. And I don’t feel like people show this side of it. It’s a privilege to be able to get a facelift, and I am not knocking the fact that it is a privilege and it is completely 100 percent self-inflicted. I just want you guys again to know the truth because I want—I wish I had had somebody like me, because I did a whole ton of research and everybody’s like, ‘Oh, God, it’s glamorous,’ you know? And I’m just like, ‘Everybody’s healing perfectly. Everybody’s fine. Nobody’s showing the nitty-gritty.'”

The woman who sold Matthew Perry the drugs that killed him was sentenced yesterday to 15 years in prison.  She was facing up to 65. Jasveen Sangha . . . whose nickname was actually “The Ketamine Queen” . . . operated a drug trafficking business out of her Los Angeles home for years, catering to a high-profile Hollywood clientele. She started supplying Matthew in 2023. But when he died that year, she tried to destroy evidence of their relationship. She didn’t stop dealing, though. Sangha is one of five people to plead guilty to charges related to Matthew’s death.

People magazine says Kelsea Ballerini has moved from Nashville to New York City. She says, “Ever since I was a little kid and I got here for the first time, I always promised myself that I would do a season or chapter of life in the city and that season and chapter is right now. I’m just there through the summer, and I’m loving it so much. I’m on a mission to find the best spicy rigatoni. That’s my Italian, that’s my heart. I gotta go find it.”

Elle Langley tells This Past Weekend that she has a tendency to cut her own hair. “I have a bad tendency to cut my own hair. I don’t know why. Because it doesn’t always go — most of the time, it goes bad. That’s how I got bangs in the first place. I was wearing a cowboy hat for a while, and then I took it off because it was windy one show… And I liked how my bangs were kind of around my face, and like 20 minutes before I walked out on stage, I decided to cut my fringe a little bit and it was so bad.”

The Globe says Russell Crowe is advising good friend Nicole Kidman not to date following her split from Keith Urban. You have to hand it to Russell because this is all coming from a place of genuine love and respect for Nicole.’’

Comedian Nikki Glaser is going viral because she says she doesn’t care if her boyfriend cheats on her. Elite Daily quotes her as saying, “I don’t care if my boyfriend is with another girl. I’m cool with it, cheat on me. I literally wouldn’t care if my husband did that. I don’t know why. If he were to watch The Wire with her or do crosswords puzzles, or send memes and stuff, I’d be like, ‘What are you doing? That’s our thing’. Emotional cheating would hurt me. I want a guy who other girls want.”

Radar Online says Dave Grohl is leaning into an all-American family guy image after his lovechild scandal. A source says, , “He’s just desperately trying to rebrand himself as an all-American family guy; that’s exactly how people around him are describing it. The backyard barbecue, the casual clothes, the hands-on hosting, it’s all part of showing a more grounded side after the lovechild shame. He’s always loved grilling, but now it’s front and center. It fits perfectly with that ‘all-American family guy’ narrative he’s leaning into after everything that’s come out about the lovechild.”
