RANDOM TIDS & BITS- Wed 2/19/24-

“It’s Either “Where” Or “Or”…No Dogs Way Down Under…& Buzz Whizzin’ On The Moon!!”

The letter “ù” in French (with the grave accent) is used for only ONE word:  “où,” which means “where.”  It’s only used to distinguish from “ou” (without the accent), which is pronounced the same, but means “or.” Despite just having one purpose, the letter “ù” has its own key on French and Canadian keyboards.  (To be fair, it IS a rather common word.)

Dogs are banned on Antarctica.  It’s because of a fear they could spread diseases to the native seals there.

Buzz Aldrin wasn’t the first man to walk on the Moon, but he WAS the first person to PEE there.  He peed into a special bag in his suit while he was out on the Moon . . . but it broke, so the liquid collected in one of his boots.
