The town of Chevy Chase, Maryland wasn’t named after the actor, or vice versa. Both names were inspired by an English historical ballad about a war that took place on the border between England and Scotland. By the way, “Chevy” started as the actor’s nickname. He was born Cornelius Crane Chase.
A woman named Chamoy Thipyaso from Bangkok, Thailand received the longest prison sentence in world history back in 1989 . . . 141,078 years for running a $204 million pyramid scheme. But she was released in 1993, after just FOUR YEARS.
