RANDOM TIDS & BITS- Thu 10/31/24-

HALLOWEEN THEMED!

“Beware Of Stabby Ghosts…Have A Hallmark Halloween …& Food For Chickens Candy!!’”

In Germany, it’s tradition for people to hide their knives on Halloween night.  The idea is to prevent returning spirits from getting injured.

Americans used to celebrate the holiday by sending Halloween cards.  In the early 1900s, Halloween cards were about as popular as Christmas cards.

Candy Corn was originally called “Chicken Feed” when it was first popularized around the end of the 19th century.  That’s partially because before World War One, most Americans didn’t really think of corn as people food.
