RANDOM TIDS & BITS- Mon 11/25/24-
“Floatin’ & Bouncin’ Berries…No More Sweet Antifreeze-Thanks ‘Dateline’…& Jumpin’ on my T.M. Trampoline?!”
Ripe cranberries bounce like rubber balls. They have tiny air pockets inside that allow them to float and bounce around. Wisconsin is the top cranberry-producing state . . . and agricultural groups there say, “For it to be considered ripe, it must bounce one foot off the ground.”
Antifreeze manufacturers use artificial flavoring to make antifreeze taste BITTER. It used to be sweet, which made it appealing to pets, children, and people trying to POISON other people.
Trampoline was originally a trademarked brand name, and the generic term was “rebound tumbler.” But trampoline eventually became genericized, like Aspirin, Kleenex, and Thermos.
