“Packin’ Heat For Return Home…From Chocolate To Dirt…Fate Of The Name Determined By Coin Flip!!!”

Russian cosmonauts used to carry special pistols to space . . . so they could shoot any bears and wolves that attacked them when they landed in Siberia.

Crayola released a line of food-scented crayons in 1994.  They were called Magic Scent, and the wax sticks came in coconut, cherry, and licorice. But by 1995, Crayola had taken them off the market.  Parents feared kids would eat them . . . and yeah, at least 10 of them did.  So Crayola changed the scents to be less appetizing.  Brown, for example, went from chocolate to dirt.

Portland, Oregon was named by a coin flip . . . the other name option was Boston.  The two guys who founded the city were from Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine.  The guy from Maine won the toss and named the city Portland.
