Law enforcement officials are asking people to turn off the fall detection alerts on their iPhones before going on rides at carnivals, fairs and amusement parks. The rides are triggering fall detection alerts and tying up 911 lines. Roller coasters almost always trigger the alert. Some amusement parks may start posting signs reminding riders to turn off the alerts 

Southwest Airlines will start selling tickets with seat assignments next week . . . and their new boarding procedure will begin in January.

Scientists in Japan are developing a new drug that can regrow human teeth. The drug suppresses a protein that inhibits tooth growth.  Trials on mice have been successful. Human trials are set to begin with men ages 30-64. Each man has a missing tooth. If the drug is proven safe and effective, it may be available by 2030

 A writer for “Slate” claims she found the perfect gift for kids, and it requires no thought or effort . . . a candy bar with a $20 bill wrapped around it. 

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, known for his role as Theo Huxtable on “The Cosby Show”, has passed away at the age of 54. He died from an accidental drowning in Costa Rica. Malcolm was declared dead at the scene, while another man was transported in critical condition to a hospital. The incident involved both individuals being swept away by a current while in the sea.
