A new poll for it looked at the most popular homemade potato dishes.  And it wasn’t even close . . . MASHED potatoes are #1 by far. The top four, in order, are:  Mashed potatoes . . . potato salad . . . baked potatoes . . . and breakfast potatoes or hash browns.  They also looked at regional dishes that are more popular in certain parts of the country. New England loves shepherd’s pie . . . Mid-Atlantic states like Pennsylvania and New York love pierogis . . . breakfast potatoes are big along the rest of the East Coast . . . potato soup is popular in a lot of Southern states. . . the Midwest is making potato casseroles and potatoes au gratin . . . Texas and surrounding states eat the most potato salad . . . the Rocky Mountain states are keeping it simple with mashed potatoes and baked potatoes . . . and the West Coast loves potato tacos.

Campbell’s and Pabst Blue Ribbon have collaborated on a new soup. The beer-infused soup will combine classic Campbell’s flavors with the taste of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Flavors include ‘Beer Cheese with Potatoes & Chorizo’ and ‘Beef, Bacon & Beer Chili with Beans’.Fans can expect a unique and flavorful soup experience. 

Skittles has launched a spicy new treat called Gummies Fuego. It combines sweet and spicy flavors in one bite. 

A new study published in the Antioxidants journal reveals that eating a handful of peanuts every day could slow down your aging process. Researchers found that peanuts have the power to neutralize reactive oxygen species and reduce inflammation. The scientists did NOT find similar effects with daily doses of peanut butter. 

Costco is selling 60-pound buckets of honey.

Are toilet seat liners in public bathrooms pointless?  An article by the BBC says thin paper like that doesn’t actually block germs.  So maybe just risk it and stop using them.  The risk of catching something from a toilet seat is incredibly low.

The Sushi Club x Nike Air Force 1 Low sneaker is going to be released this Fall. It is white with a cream-colored Swoosh.  The bottom lace is adorned with a pair of mini chopsticks. 

Ja Morant’s Christmas-themed Nike Ja 3 sneakers come with a glittery snow globe on the tongue. The sneakers are neon yellow, red and white.  The Nike Ja 3 is set to be released on December 26th and will cost $135. Morant plays for the Memphis Grizzlies. 

In a new poll, 38% of people admit to lying about their age when meeting someone new.  And 62% of people say it’s a “dealbreaker” if someone lies about their age.

Scientists are testing an ‘Ozempic for overweight dogs’. The implant mimics human weight-loss drugs like Ozempic.  It could help dogs lose weight by suppressing their appetite. Canine obesity affects 50% of dogs.  The treatment may be available as early as 2028.
