No Talking Chairs, Just Real Talk: Steve Burns Launches New Podcast “Alive”
Steve Burns, or as you’d know him, the OG host of “Blue’s Clues”, is launching a podcast this fall for all the adults who grew up watching him. It’s called “Alive” and episodes will be released on a weekly basis. It’ll focus on “what it means to stay human in a complicated world.” Steve added that there will be LESS talking furniture, but there will still be some fun along the way.
There’s been a lot of chatter this week about the Season 36 finale of “The Simpsons” . . . because they KILLED OFF MARGE. Except they really didn’t. She only “died” in a flash-forward that takes place 35 years in the future. FYI, 35 years into the future, Lisa is the commissioner of the NBA . . . formerly the WNBA. And the men’s league has become known as the MNBA. Bart is scamming senior citizens out of their Social Security checks.
‘’Top Gun: Maverick’’ and ‘’F1’’ director Joseph Kosinski tells GQ magazine that he envisions a crossover sequel between “Days of Thunder” and “F1”. “Right now, it’d be Cole Trickle [Cruise’s Days of Thunder character]. We find out that he and Sonny Hayes [Pitt’s character in the F1 movie] have a past. They were rivals at some point, maybe crossed paths… I heard about this epic go-kart battle on Interview with the Vampire that Brad and Tom had, and who wouldn’t pay to see those two go head-to-head on the track?” With a “Days of Thunder” sequel in development and “F1” tracking for a strong opening, the prospect of merging these two iconic stories and actors is gaining momentum.
It would be a vast understatement to say that a lot of things have happened regarding Facebook since the movie “The Social Network” came out in 2010, so “The Social Network Part 2” is in the works. It’ll be based on an exposé the “Wall Street Journal” did on Facebook. There’s no word if Jesse Eisenberg is coming back to play Mark Zuckerberg.
After weeks of rumors and speculation, it seems safe to say that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are DONE…amicably.
Brad Pitt’s “F1” hits theaters this weekend. And if it gets you jonesing for more good car racing movies, check out some of these:
JoBlo says Kim Kardashian may play the villain in the upcoming live-action Bratz movie. The film is based on the popular Bratz doll line. This casting choice has sparked excitement and speculation among fans and movie buffs alike. Amazon MGM hopes the film has the same success as the Barbie movie
Luke Bryan was doing an interview for a recent edition of People magazine when he said his goal is to get his teenage sons to add his music to their playlists. “I’d hear them come in blasting all this rap and hip‑hop across the farm, and I’m like, ‘Oh man, I gotta find a way to get my songs on their playlist.’”
Thomas Rhett tells People magazine that his four daughters are his toughest music critics. “It’s this funny balance of how much am I trying to impress my kids compared to how much am I trying to make sure that my fans actually like my music. My kids do like this, but my fans are really going to love this song or this album.”
Bailey Zimmerman tells Golf Monthly that golf has become his go-to hobby for unwinding and bonding with bandmates. “Dude, I’m hooked… It’s probably a place where I can unwind with my bandmates between and during tours… ‘Have fun, put your hat backwards,’ I’ve never been into traditional style anything.”
WSMV says Maren Morris is launching her own ice cream flavor called “Maren Morris Orange Dreamsicle.” The ice cream is inspired by her latest album, “Dreamsicle.” All proceeds are going to Second-Harvest Food Bank.
The NY Post says Travis Kelce held a nightclub concert in Nashville late Tuesday night. The crowd was stunned when Taylor Swift and Kane Brown took the stage together to sing “Shake It Off”. Travis was wearing camo, a black cowboy hat and gold chains.
The Daily Dot says Jeff Bezos dummies have been floating in Venice canals in protest of his upcoming multi-million wedding. The dummies show Bezos holding Amazon packages stuffed with cash and banners criticizing his tax contributions. Protesters are accusing Bezos of ignoring over-tourism issues in the city.
Naughty But Nice says Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding guests allegedly had to cover mini bar charges themselves. One guest joked, “I nearly choked on my complimentary biscotti. Jeff’s worth $200 billion and they’re worried I might take a Toblerone?”
