Nicolas Cage’s Mansion Has a Hole Lot of Trouble
Nicolas Cage dropped $10.5 million on a beachfront mansion in Malibu two years ago. And now it looks like it’s about to be swallowed up by the Earth. A deep sinkhole opened up in the driveway . . . or where the driveway USED TO be. It’s about 30 by 30 feet wide, and was probably caused by coastal erosion. And it’s right at the edge of the house. Apparently, nobody was home when it caved after a day of heavy rain, and no evacuations have been ordered . . . even though it looks like the house could get swallowed up at any moment. The house was built in the 1990s. (Check out pictures here.)

America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel tells E! News that fellow judge Simon Cowell’s back surgery was successful. “As I talk to you, he is just hours out of surgery. Can’t wait to see him and visit him and give him my best wishes. I’m hoping that Simon makes his way back and has a speedy, quick recovery. That’s what I’m looking forward to.” The America’s Got Talent season finale is scheduled for September 23rd.

Jim Curtis tells Jamie Kern Lima that dating Jennifer Aniston brought him a new level of tabloid attention and taught him to stop Googling himself. “And, you know, just to be quite honest, that was something to get used to. I’ve been pretty public for a long time, but never this level. No one’s really cared who I’ve dated in the past, so that was an adjustment for me, but it was a real learning experience, too. It was a part of my growth because, you know, I would get categorized as something in a tabloid, or it’d be a fake headline, or it would be something that was not flattering or made up and I immediately would be like, ‘They could’ve just gone to my LinkedIn page and [seen] all my achievements, all my wonderful things.’ Don’t Google yourself again, Jim, to see what the news is saying today.”

RadarOnline.com says Sydney Sweeney’s lingerie brand SYRN is allegedly facing a major sales struggle after launching earlier this year. The brand offers sexy silkies in 44 sizes, but a review in The Robin Report criticized its branding as exclusionary. An insider tells the website, “It’s been a disaster. They thought it would be a sellout based on Sydney’s brand, but clearly her saleability is waning rapidly. It does not invite women in; it asks them to emulate and fawn over the founder. And the inconsistency between the brand’s intention and execution is a threat to its long-term viability.”

RadarOnline.com says Prince William is allegedly furious over Prince Harry presenting himself as carrying out royal work, even though he and Meghan Markle remain private individuals rather than working royals. During a recent visit to Ukraine, Harry said, “I will always be part of the Royal Family, and I’m here working and doing the very thing that I was born to do. And I enjoy doing it.” A Royal source tells the website, “William is fuming because, from his perspective, Harry appears to be presenting himself as though he can simply step back into the role of a working royal whenever it suits him. Harry remains the King’s son, and nobody can take that away from him, but being a member of the family and representing the monarchy are two very different things.”
