A “person of interest” was detained yesterday in the abduction of Savannah Guthrie’s mother Nancy. Nothing has been revealed about the suspect except that it’s NOT a member of the family. He’s since been released. Earlier in the day, the FBI released six pictures and two videos of a potential suspect from surveillance cameras, which the alleged abductor is seen tampering with. The images show a person in a jacket, a ski mask, and gloves . . . wearing a backpack, and a firearm at the waist. He or she attempts to block Nancy’s doorbell camera with a glove, then with some flowers from her porch. It was originally thought that no footage existed, since Nancy Guthrie didn’t have a subscription plan, meaning her content was not saved on a server. But the FBI was able to locate residual data from, quote, “backend systems.” According to a ransom note, the kidnapper . . . or kidnappers . . . had offered to return Nancy to her family after receiving $6 million in Bitcoin. And TMZ says that yesterday, for the first time, there was activity in the Bitcoin account connected to the ransom note. But they wouldn’t reveal the amount. Nancy has been missing since Sunday, February 1st. Savannah posted one of the videos yesterday and said in the caption that she believes her mother is still alive.
Netflix is filming the Broadway show “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” for an eventual streaming release. Makes sense, because Netflix is the producer of the stage show. The story serves as a prequel to the Netflix series and has tie-ins to moments in the Season Five, as it explores the origin story of Henry Creel, otherwise known as the series’ villain, Vecna.
Sturla Holm Laegreid from Norway won a bronze medal in biathlon . . . that’s the “sport” that combines cross-country skiing and SHOOTING. But he couldn’t enjoy it, because he was HEARTBROKEN. Instead of celebrating, he made a crazy confession in front of the ENTIRE WORLD. He said, quote, “There is someone I wanted to share this with who might not be watching today. (Here’s video. It’s not in English, but the emotion is universal.)
Radar Online says Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have allegedly set resolutions to prevent divorce. An insider reveals, “Gwen and Blake have taken stock of what went wrong this past year and realized they can’t coast anymore if they want this to last. They love each other, but they admit during the past year they really drifted and became disconnected. They’re being much more intentional about what work and social commitments they say yes to, so they’re not constantly pulled in opposite directions. Blake has promised to meet Gwen halfway on things that really matter to her, including going to church with her more often. He’s finally taking her concerns about his health seriously and has agreed to buckle down, get fitter, and cut back on all the crappy food. On top of that, they’re prioritizing their relationship again with proper date nights and plans for a romantic getaway. It’s a very deliberate reset, which hopefully will get them back on track.”
The new “Mummy” movie with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz will be out in May of 2028.
Max McNown was recently doing an interview with People Magazine when he said working in a coffee shop helped shape his perspective on everyday life. “I learned how much people just want to feel seen and heard. Making coffee for someone every morning is a small thing, but you start to recognize faces and stories, and it reminds you that everybody is carrying something important in their life.”
Luke Combs tells Southern Living magazine that comfort food reminds him of his childhood. “I grew up loving simple Southern cooking. Give me barbecue, mac and cheese, and cornbread, and I am a happy person.”

Shaboozey tells Billboard magazine that when he travels on tour he loves discovering local culture and food. “Whenever I go to a new city on tour, I like to stop at the vintage stores. Go shopping. That’s my favorite thing to do, honestly: shopping and eating. Love to find the best food in the area, just trying to see what the city has to offer, you know? Look for dive bars, things like that.”
George Birge tells CMT that his sons love being part of his music career. “They love it, man. They’re 10 feet tall at school, and their buddies, you know, all listen to country music too, and so it’s a lot of fun. They couldn’t be more opposite in their personalities. One’s Mr. Straight Shooter and one is the life of the party, but they’re best friends. And now that they’ve both gotten a little taste of like getting to come out onstage with dad or getting part of social media videos and stuff, I mean, I’ll be on the couch and my son would come, put his head on my shoulder and be like, ‘All right, how many views we got, Dad? How’s it looking?’ So they love it, man.”
The Blast says Kim Kardashian could face heartbreak in her new relationship with Lewis Hamilton due to his strict dating rules. A source says, “Lewis operates with very fixed personal boundaries around how serious relationships are allowed to become. He is at a stage where he’s deliberately narrowing his life, not expanding it. His focus is on his legacy in Formula One and his business ventures, and he structures his personal life to protect that. The imbalance is that he is used to relationships fitting around his life, not reshaping it. He enjoys his duties as an uncle, but that is where his parental instincts begin and end. The idea of becoming a stepfather to four young children is not on the table.”
The Irish Star says Tom Brady raked in between $3 and 5-million for his brief cameo during Ben Affleck’s Dunkin’ Donuts Super Bowl commercial. Naughty But Nice says Travis Kelce allegedly never liked Ryan Reynolds and found him too polished and performative, especially during double dates with Taylor Swift and Blake Lively. A source says, “Travis just doesn’t trust him. He thinks Ryan’s always ‘on’ — and that rubs him the wrong way. He hated the double-dating. He felt like it was all optics and no authenticity. Travis is blunt and real. Ryan is curated. That contrast never worked. He kept his distance emotionally. He didn’t trust him enough to relax. Travis doesn’t fake it. If he doesn’t like you, he won’t play along.”
