Nate Bargatze Turns Emmy Speeches into Cash for Kids

The Emmys are this Sunday and host Nate Bargatze has a great idea to keep acceptance speeches short.  In case you didn’t know, every winner gets 45 seconds to give their thank-yous. He’s donating $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Club, but will deduct $1,000 for every second a winner goes over time in their acceptance speech. If someone goes UNDER the 45-second mark, he will add $1,000. He says kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs will be there to judge any winners who take away their funding.

The Emmys go down Sunday night.  And of all the nominated series in all categories, American watched one WAY more than any of the others.  And you’re not gonna believe what it was: “Survivor”.  People watched 462.4 million viewing hours.  “The White Lotus” is a distant second, at 210.7 million hours.

Amanda Seyfried says she made a “sacrifice” for her new movie “The Testament of Ann Lee”.  That sacrifice?  She gave up Botox for a whole year. She had to regain her ability to frown. She called it a “big assignment”.

Ella Langley is back to performing after her month-long break.  And she was talking about her past struggles with the audience when she said, “I’m so grateful for the girl that went through those things . . . Because now, I’m the woman that I am because of her.”

Hulk Hogan left behind an estate worth $5 million, not counting $11 million in real estate, and only a single beneficiary:  His son Nick. The reason Hulk’s daughter Brooke isn’t a beneficiary is because she ASKED to be removed from her father’s will a few years ago.  She didn’t trust the people around Hulk, and didn’t want to get caught up in a financial battle when he died. Hulk’s widow, Sky Daily, was listed as a “surviving spouse” . . . which means she may have rights to a portion of the estate.  Hulk’s final will was drafted before they were married.

Chase Matthew was recently doing an interview with CountryNow.com when he said his rescue dog, JD, has been the best “therapist” he could have asked for. “He’s in the right hands now and I’m just so grateful that I have him and he’s been the best therapist I could have ever had.”

Jackson Dean tells People magazine that his nomadic lifestyle fuels his ambition. “I can’t tell you the last time I was in one place for more than 72 hours … I’m still running and gunning and going everywhere that I possibly can. I don’t ever want that to stop.”

Jon Pardi tells People magazine that with two young daughters at home, he’s just as happy being “Mr. Sunday Morning” as Mr. Saturday Night. “When they get up at 7, they don’t care what you did last night – it’s their world. Every parent tells me it goes so quick and hold your baby girls because one day they’re going to stand, and they don’t want you to hold them.”

Iowa’s News Now says Tim McGraw and Nickelback’s concerts, at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa, generated $11.2 million. The concerts drew 35,000 attendees, with 20,000 for Tim McGraw and 15,000 for Nickelback.

Luke Combs’ son Beau celebrated turning two with an Alan Jackson-themed party dubbed “Chatta-TWO-chee.” The party featured a photo station, fishing boat decor, and “Chattahoochee”-inspired treats. Guests enjoyed fishing activities, themed cookies, and a special birthday cake adorned with seashells and inner tubes.

JoBlo says Charlie Sheen was offered the lead role in the original ‘’Karate Kid’’ movie but turned it down to work on ‘’Grizzly II’’. Just before leaving for Budapest to film ‘’Grizzly II’’, Sheen auditioned for ‘’The Karate Kid’’ and could have gotten the lead role. His father reminded him to honor his prior commitment to the other project.

Naughty but Nice says Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly downsizing to save money. The couple is facing financial challenges because their expected income streams have not materialized.  While Harry has inheritance money, they realize the need to adjust their lavish lifestyle. A source says, “The money just isn’t coming in the way it used to. The Spotify deal is gone, Netflix has cooled, and the big cash flow they counted on hasn’t materialized. They’re tightening belts. They’ve realized they need to downsize their lifestyle if they want to make this work long-term.’’

RadarOnline.com says Jennifer Garner is allegedly ready to marry John Miller, which has left ex-husband Ben Affleck struggling. An insider reveals, “For Ben, it’s torture. He was clinging to the hope she’d have second thoughts and call it off, but now that’s clearly not happening. He has to get his head around the fact she’ll be officially wed and tied down to someone else who’s going to be living under the same roof and spending time with his kids. Jen has been back and forth on whether to marry John for a while, now she’s telling friends it’s happening and how happy they both are and John’s her soulmate. She’s looking into the perfect venue and the invitations she wants to send out, the music, the guest list. It’s open knowledge among her friends she’s knee deep in wedding planning.”

RadarOnline.com says Sutton Foster is allegedly “desperate” to apologize to Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness. A source reveals, “Sutton and Debs were friends. They used to go on double dates with their husbands and even hung out one-on-one a handful of times. That’s partly why it stings so badly for Debs – and it’s why Sutton does feel a tremendous sense of guilt and really wants to try to mend fences. The way Sutton tells it, she didn’t intend to fall in love with Hugh. It just happened. She insists nothing ever happened between them before he and Debs split, and she really wants to get that across to Debs. She wants to explain herself and apologize for hurting her in any way.”

Radar Online says Katy Perry’s ex, John Mayer, is allegedly eyeing her after her split from Orlando Bloom. A source says,  “John and Katy have a good relationship these days, they even spent time together last November at Sabrina Carpenter’s concert in L.A. When he heard about her and Orlando, John didn’t hesitate to reach out. He’s very charming and is currently playing the role of supportive friend, but ultimately, he wants to be with her again. He’s always said she’s one of the most attractive women he’s ever dated and openly admires her, so if she’s open to reconnecting or dating again, he’d be over the moon.’’

The Globe says Bradley Cooper is allegedly apprehensive about proposing to Gigi Hadid. A source says, “Gigi’s not pressuring him and has ordered everyone in her life to do the same, but it’s no secret she’s waiting for this to happen. And with Taylor and Travis getting engaged, it’s definitely bringing heat to the situation. Of course, Gigi is thrilled for Taylor. But it’s a reminder of what she doesn’t have. Bradley talks about marrying like it’s a sure thing, but then flips and says he’s stressed about lawyers and paperwork and prenups, so it’s very mixed messaging. Gigi’s family and friends are trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and trust that he’s going to work up the guts to take this next step before long. But it’s a little suspicious, given his history of being so noncommittal. He really needs to get out of his own way and just do it because Gigi is a catch and she’s not going to wait forever.”

The News International says Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are allegedly taking a break from wedding planning to savor their engagement. A source says, “Taylor and Travis have been in celebration mode ever since the engagement. They are not in the wedding planning phase yet.”

The Globe says Ellen DeGeneres is allegedly hopeful about making a TV comeback in the U.S. after her scandal. A source says, “It seems utterly delusional to her pals, but she really believes she can go home again and jumpstart her old career. She’s had a chance to regroup in England — she’s refreshed, and enough time has passed so she can slowly work her way back to where she believes she belongs, on TV and being the biggest talk show host in America despite her horrific fall from grace. Sure, she’s enjoying her time in England, plus these deals take a long time to negotiate, but she’s ready to go again and rebuild her TV empire. If she got a good gig, of course she’d leap at it!”
