Morgan Wallen Steps Up to the Plate with $1.2M Gift


Country nominees for the Radio Hall of Fame class of 2026 are WXTU/Philadelphia’s Andie Summers, Silverfish’s Big D & Bubba and WHN/New York’s Lee Arnold. Voting by more than 1,000 radio industry pros begins Friday (4/24) and closes May 8. The induction ceremony will be held Oct. 8 at Chicago’s Fairmont Hotel. Also announced this morning, Shania Twain will host the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards May 17 in Las Vegas. The show streams live at 7pm CT on Prime Video from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Previously announced performers are Cody Johnson, Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert and Riley Green.

Ella Langley and Morgan Wallen debuted a new duet Saturday night at Morgan’s concert in Alabama.  He said, quote, “Ella wrote this song and sent it [to] me about a month ago and I loved it.” It’s called “I Can’t Love You Anymore” and it comes out Friday. (You can watch their performance here.)

Ella Langley named her top three dream collaborators that we can all hope could someday become a reality.  She revealed that they are Chris Stapleton, Miley Cyrus, and Stevie Nicks. She also mentioned in a recent interview that she wants to get into acting in the next year.  Quote, “I like thrillers but also love comedy.  I’m not a big romantic movie lady, so probably something funnier or a little more intense.”

Country singer Ella Langley scored her first #1 album with “Dandelion”.

A week from today, the Wisco Trips bus to Nashville will start rolling… and speaking of Nashville…. Rumor has it that Nashville will host the Super Bowl in 2030 at Nissan Stadium, which is the home of the Tennessee Titans and is scheduled to open next year. Sports radio host Dan Patrick says a source told him that it’s, quote, “signed and ready to go.”  Will 2030 be the year we’ll get a country music Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Morgan Wallen is set to donate $1.2 million to Gibbs High School to update their baseball field, which was renamed in his honor last year. He graduated from Gibbs in 2011, and was part of their national championship team in 2010. His donation through his foundation would be used to transform the field into a, quote, “versatile, state-of-the-art multi-use athletic field” and to build a softball hitting and pitching facility.  The donation is awaiting county approval.

BroBible says the premiere of the Michael Jackson biopic “Michael” recently took place. The film has a 27% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Dark Horizons says Paramount Pictures is re-releasing “Top Gun” and “Top Gun Maverick” next month to celebrate the original film’s 40th anniversary.

Parade Magazine says a 1979 Star Wars action figure was recently sold for $1.34 million. The Boba Fett set a world record with its selling price. Only three of the prototypes were ever made. The doll came with a rocket launcher and two rockets.

Front Office Sports says Joe Buck is closing in on a deal to host ESPN Jeopardy. The program is expected to air on Hulu and Disney+, and may also run on ABC

Page Six says Vanessa Trump and Tiger Woods have cut staffers because of leaks. A source says,  “It’s not a big staff. They’re paranoid of leaks, and she hates the press.”

Riley Green tells Decider magazine it was Tim McGraw who got him interested in acting.  “Seeing how good Tim McGraw was in 1883 … that is probably what got me interested in acting. I’ve gotten to know Tim over the years. In the past, I had it in my head that acting was something you were not born able to do.”

Lainey Wilson tells People Magazine that she hasn’t had much time to plan for her wedding yet. “We’ve been talking about it, trying to figure it out. We just want it to be simple and we want to make that vow to each other and not be stressed out about what the flowers look like. I think we just want it to be about what it’s supposed to be about — and, of course, we’re going to have a dang good time.”

The Sun says American Idol fans are pleading for Jennifer Hudson to replace Carrie Underwood as a permanent judge on the show. Jennifer, who was a contestant on American Idol over 20 years ago, returned to the show as a guest judge and mentor on Monday

Kenny Chesney gave Megan Moroney an autographed Dolly Parton guitar for her 28th birthday. The guitar had the message, “To Megan Love Dolly Parton”

Brobible says Post Malone is preparing to start his tour with Jelly Roll. Tickets to the concerts are allegedly not selling well.  Most stadiums will be half empty if sales stay low.  Most stops still have many tickets available.

Bailey Zimmerman is ready to find someone special. He says, “I’m at a place right now in my life where I’m just kind of ready for that. I’ve been ready for that and I had some things I was working on, you know, just like personally kind of just growing up, but I really feel like I’m in that kind of era of my life where I’m really ready to like meet that person… I’m ready to be that person for them as well.”

Naughty But Nice says Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are keeping their wedding location a  secret. A source says, “There’s a date — but no venue,” one insider tells Naughty But Nice. “And that’s completely intentional. The truth is, no one knows exactly where it will be yet. Not even the guests. They want total control — and total privacy. Details won’t be shared, until the very last minute.”

RadarOnline.com says Tiger Woods allegedly plans to reveal his demons in a no holds barred tell-all. A source says, “One of Tiger’s biggest issues is that he holds everything in. He’s known for being intensely secretive. His mother is the only person he’s ever really trusted, so her death [in 2025] hit him incredibly hard. It’s a big reason he slid off the rails after that. He needs a total reset, but above all else, to face his demons head-on and with total honesty. Tiger is finally waking up to that, which is why he plans to set the record straight. But first things first, he needs to get sober and tuck himself away for a while. Thankfully, he has the money and a ton of loved ones rooting for him.”

The National Enquirer says Timothée Chalamet is allegedly pulling back from the spotlight because he lost the Best Actor Oscar to Michael B. Jordan and because he said ballet and opera no longer matter in today’s society. A source tells the magazine, “Pulling back from public appearances, podcasts and interviews was the only card he could play and the idea is to make people miss him a bit before he’s everywhere again. The bigger question among Timmy and his team is about how much long-term damage he did to himself and his image.’’

The Globe says Britney Spears is allegedly very shaky and lightheaded as she adjusts to sobriety. A source tells the magazine, “She’s feeling disoriented and anxious because she doesn’t have a way to numb the stress of her life anymore. Britney hasn’t let a drop of alcohol past her lips ever since she got busted, and it’s a lifestyle change because she had been drowning her sorrows night after night.”

John Cena tells The Star magazine that he had an alien head after his hair transplant. “It is a surgery. [The] first 14 days are the most important, can’t get [the surgical site] wet, it’s an open wound. Your head swells, [then] the swelling comes down, your skull looks different for a little bit. But I didn’t care. I literally got the transplant and went right to pre-prep for a movie in Budapest. I was walking around Christmas markets in Budapest with, like, an alien head.

Jim Parsons tells Geo TV that he wouldn’t do a Big Bang Theory reboot. “I don’t believe I would do a reboot, I can’t say I miss him, partly because, especially 12 years on a TV show where they’re writing for this specific actor, there’s a lot of me in that. Not the genius part, but there’s a lot of me in that.”

The Daily Mail says Sydney Sweeney’s scene in ‘’The Devil Wears Prada 2’’ was cut. Her appearance would have come near the beginning of the movie, but it was scrapped. Entertainment Weekly says the appearance was cut because it did not  structurally work.

TMZ says Tiger King star Joe Exotic was recently placed in Solitary Confinement at his federal prison because of his social media posts. His attorney, Peter Ticktin, says, “The prison decided not to like his posts”. Joe hopes to be out in 15 days.
