Have you ever wondered why Yoda speaks backwards in “Star Wars”?  Well, George Lucas FINALLY gave us an answer during a 45th anniversary screening of “The Empire Strikes Back”.  He wanted people to focus on what he’s saying, because if you speak regular English, people won’t listen that much. He was basically the philosopher of the movie, and had to figure out a way to get people to actually listen, especially 12-year-olds.

“Sinners” won the box office again with $45 million.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025 includes:  Bad Company . . . Chubby Checker . . . Cyndi Lauper . . . Soundgarden . . . and The White Stripes.  The winners of the fan vote, Phish, got snubbed. It was announced last night on “American Idol”. The Induction Ceremony will take place November 8th in L.A.  It will stream live on Disney+. (Here’s Ryan Seacrest making the announcement.)

The ACM Awards aren’t for another 10 days, but they’ve already given out two HUGE awards. Ella Langley won Best New Female Artist . . . and Zach Top won Best New Male Artist.  The 60th Annual ACM Awards takes place Thursday, May 8th.  Ella was on stage performing, when all of a sudden, a video of Miranda Lambert popped up and surprised her with the good news.  (Here’s that moment.) And while there’s no video of Zach accepting the award live, the picture afterwards shows that he’s a happy man. (He really could be Alan Jackson’s long-lost son, huh?)

Some parents and influencers say CoComelon is like kiddie crack—loud, fast, and meltdown-inducing when it’s turned off. And why do their eyes look like they’ve seen things no cartoon should? They’re giant. The company that produces the show insists that it’s enriching and entertaining.

In Touch Weekly says Brad Pitt and George Clooney are allegedly courting Sandra Bullock to star in “Ocean’s Fourteen.” A source says, “They want everybody they can afford back in the new movie, but Sandra is the big fish and as she finally gets back into studio movies they’re competing with her further-along Practical Magic sequel for Sandra’s time. But keep in mind Brad and George want this to happen and Brad and Sandra have already made two movies [The Lost City and Bullet Train] together this decade. But Brad and George desperately need this to work to prove their global star power and they need all the help they can get. The good news for Sandra is they’re more than willing to overpay her for her time. They want this movie in cinemas by Christmas next year at the latest!”

Brigada News says Tom Cruise is allegedly pursuing Ana de Armas, but her relationship with Manuel Anido Cuesta is causing complications. A source tells the outlet, “Tom’s charm might not be enough this time.” The actor may have to navigate some obstacles if he wants to win her heart.

RadarOnline.com claims Jennifer Garner’s fiancé is allegedly frustrated as Ben Affleck considers co-starring with her in films. A source shares,  “John has just about had it with Ben’s meddling. Ben makes it clear how much affection and admiration he still has for Jen as a mom, an actress and even as a businesswoman. She’s good at just about everything and continues to be incredibly important to him. or Jen, working with Ben’s studio would be a no-brainer. Even if Ben blurs the boundaries between them, she knows where to draw the line. But that’s likely not enough to keep John happy.”

RadarOnline.com says Timothee Chalamet is allegedly rethinking his relationship with Kylie Jenner. A source reveals, “It’s not just Kylie turning the screws. “It’s her entire family that’s trying to capitalize on his fame, and it’s not going over well with him. Kris gets dollar signs in her eyes when she looks at Timothée. Kris wants to capitalize on that to help bump up their brand and boost their ratings. They’re all trying to use him for their own gain – Kylie included. As far as Kris is concerned, Kylie and Timothée will have to play by her rules. It’s a benefit to them as well as her.’’

RadarOnline.com says George and Amal Clooney are allegedly nearing a $500 million divorce after she skipped his Broadway debut.  An insider says, “Everyone expected her to be there for his first night. It was a shock,” an insider confides. It’s only increased chatter that their marriage isn’t in a good place. Amal is at the end of her rope – and even told him to stay in New York as long as he likes. She will be going back to Europe. He’s deep in the doghouse and seemingly doing nothing to get himself out. Things have never been as tense between them as they are now. There are a lot of whispers that they could be headed for a costly divorce.” George swears they have never had a fight. 

Radar Online claims Keanu Reeves allegedly plans to elope with Alexandra Grant to avoid a flashy Hollywood wedding. An insider shares, “Keanu and Alexandra have gone back and forth about where and when to do the wedding and have gotten close to setting a date, but he is being the focus of so much attention. Despite being a big movie star, Keanu doesn’t like having all eyes on him. That’s why they’re now talking about just running off together somewhere to get married. They might motorbike to Napa Valley on a whim and tie the knot there or go to Capri and exchange vows on a rugged coastline. It’s a shame because they’ve already scouted locations and come up with all sorts of artistic touches for a wedding, and it will no doubt be disappointing for Alexandra if they don’t go through with it. But she’s not the type to throw a fit over this kind of thing.”
