Hooray for Hollywood: Here are this past weekend’s box office results. 1. “Sinners,” $45.6 million. (CINEMA SCOOP .. The film cost $90 million to produce. It earned $15.4 million overseas for a total worldwide weekend take of $61 million) 2. “A Minecraft Movie,” $41.3 million. 3. “The King of Kings,” $17.3 million.

Hot off the release of his hit movie “Sinners”, director Ryan Coogler has confirmed that his reboot of “The X-Files” is the next project he’s working on. He says he wants to make it, quote, “really [effing] scary,” and he’s keeping his fingers crossed that Gillian Anderson will return as Dana Scully.  Gillian said in a 2024 interview that she’s not ruling it out. For those who don’t know, Coogler directed the first “Creed” and both “Black Panther” movies.

TV Shows Ace says Pat Sajak is going to star in a new stage play titled “Prescription: Murder.” The play will run in Hawaii from July 31st to August 10th and is a mystery thriller. The production will benefit the Hawaii Theatre Center.

Morgan Wallen’s new song with Post Malone “I Ain’t Coming Back” was just released on Friday and is already #1 on the iTunes country chart, and the all-genre iTunes chart. He also has five of the top 10 spots in the all-genre chart.  (You can check that out, here.) His new album doesn’t even come out until May 16th. And with 37 songs on it, he’s bound to set every country record known to man.

OK! Magazine says Lainey Wilson and Devlin Hodges are going all out for their lavish Southern wedding. The couple plans to tie the knot in late Summer or early Fall. A source says they want an old-fashioned church wedding. “They’ve been together for four years and can’t wait to make it official. Lainey and Duck want an old-fashioned church wedding, with flowers everywhere. Those two are sparing no expense. They’re going all out to have the wedding of their dreams.”

People magazine says Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley sparked romance rumors after posting a kissing photo on Instagram. The actress and country singer posed together for Easter, with Billy Ray kissing Hurley on the cheek.  Hurley had previously hinted at a connection with Cyrus by using his song on Instagram.

Geo TV says Taylor Swift is allegedly close to signing a major deal to play Whitney Houston’s character in ‘The Bodyguard’ remake.  A source tells the network, “The talks have included discussions about Swift writing music for the film and the actor who will play her love interest.”

The Daily Mail claims Kim Kardashian is allegedly now a top choice to star in the remake of ‘’The Bodyguard’’. A source says,  ‘Everyone immediately assumed Taylor would get the lead, the role played by Whitney Houston in the original film, because The Bodyguard remake is being directed by Sam Wrench who directed the 2023 film about Taylor’s Eras Tour. But Warner Bros, the studio remaking the original, is very keen on Kim. There have already been multiple meetings and the script has been written with Kim in mind.’

Kelsea Ballerini tells FemaleFirst  that she wears a wig on stage to protect her natural hair. “I felt like Hannah Montana, and got the after-show nickname Rufus.” 

RadarOnline.com says Chris Rock is allegedly angry at Will Smith for exploiting their  Oscars slap in his new music. Smith mocked the slap in his lyrics, causing Rock to call him “arrogant and self-serving.” A source reveals, “Chris is absolutely seething over the latest antics of Will, who has been spouting off about his so-called spiritual journey. It’s hard not to roll your eyes when Will tries to market this changed man persona, especially after he had the audacity to make light of the slap in The Bad Boys. For Chris, that laugh at the incident just reveals how truly insincere Will’s apologies are. He’s convinced it’s all just a show, with Will whining about his efforts to make amends as if he’s the victim here. Chris can’t stand it and believes Will is merely playing the same old game – putting on a facade while remaining the arrogant, smug, self-serving guy he’s always been. And another thing, Will’s new music is the world’s worst rap!”
