Man Legally Changing Name To Rubber Duck For Charity Bet & Deputies Help Boy Sell Out Lemonade Stand
A Lancashire, England man, named Daniel Caldwell, is changing his last name to Rubber Duck. He accepted a dare from his friend Curtin Lunt and said he would change his last name for a year if their charity fundraiser earned more than $4,000 for a local children’s hospice. It did. Curtin got a rubber duck tattoo last year as part of a dare. Daniel is planning to get married in 2027 and says his fiance was shocked about the name change.
A Polk County, Florida fifth grader wanted a Nintendo Switch, so he opened a lemonade stand. Sheriff’s Deputies responded and bought out all of his lemonade. Jude will be back to raise the rest of the money. Sheriff Grady Judd commented, “We love to encourage our youth to work hard and save for their goals.”
