A thank-you note written by Angelina Jolie back in 2023 is going viral because her handwriting is really hard to read.  She wrote it to a 5-star resort in Greece after her stay while filming the movie “Maria”. People are commenting that you have to be older to read it, because it’s in cursive.  But even if you know cursive, it’s not easy to decipher. It says, quote, “Thank you for a restful stay at your beautiful resort.  The ‘Maria’ crew had a lovely time here.  With love, Angelina Jolie.”

It’s no exaggeration that Dolly Parton worked until her final days.  In July, she filmed an ad for her coffee line, Cup of Ambition, which launched online yesterday for National Coffee Day. In the clip, Dolly pours herself a cup of coffee and sits down at a vanity where she plays guitar and touches up her makeup.  Her reflection in the mirror is animated, and her song “9 to 5” plays in the background.  Cup of Ambition comes in three different roasts: light, medium, and dark.  The coffee is sold as a 12-ounce bag of grounds and as a pack of 10 K-cups.  They all cost $12.99 each. In other Dolly news, her new museum opened yesterday on the third floor of the SongTeller Hotel in Nashville.  It’s the largest exhibit of her life and includes her wedding dress and her last official recorded concert. Lady A frontman Charles Kelley has a rare blood cancer called multiple myeloma.  He shared the news in a video on social media alongside his wife.  He says he’s hopeful and that he wants to keep working while receiving treatment. Quote, “But we just wanted to let y’all know, and I’ll try to let you in, you know, when I feel like it’s appropriate throughout the journey.  And it’s just another hurdle, and you know, I’m confident that we’re going to get through it.”

Former “American Idol” contestant Caleb Flynn was found guilty yesterday of murdering his wife. Flynn called 911 on February 16th, saying his wife Ashley had been shot by an intruder who broke into their Ohio home.  He was arrested for the crime three days later. Flynn was briefly a contestant on Season 12 of “Idol” in 2013.  During his Road to Hollywood interview, he said, quote, “I absolutely love the lord and I love my wife more than anything.  She is very, very pretty.  I love her.” Flynn was a “music pastor” at a church, and was having an affair with a young intern.  The prosecution presented multiple texts between the two in which Flynn said he wanted his wife dead, and talked about killing her. He maintains his innocence.

It seems like everybody who’s anybody was at Taylor Swift’s wedding.  Except Blake Lively, of course. Even Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise were on the guest list.  Not to mention Jennifer Lopez, Tom Brady, Tom Hanks, Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, and Selena Gomez. And then there was Adam Sandler . . . who officiated. But apparently there was somebody there . . . somebody HUGE . . . that we haven’t heard of yet. Talk show Graham Norton says there was a “BIG STAR” at the wedding who hasn’t been mentioned in the press.  He won’t say who it was, but he offered two clues:  it’s a guy, and he’s never been on Graham’s show. So now people are trying to figure it out.  “Entertainment Weekly” noted that Norton has spoken in the past about his two dream guests:  Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. Well, Brad WAS at the wedding.  But Leo’s never been mentioned as a guest.  He was, however, at the Norway / Brazil World Cup game just days later at MetLife Stadium.  So he was in the area. Taylor and Travis Kelce were married at Madison Square Garden.

Page Six says Taylor Swift’s former Beverly Hills home is on the market for $7,995,000. Swift bought the Pillsbury Estate in 2011 and wrote her album “1989” there. Fashion designer Nicolas Bijan and interior designer Roxy Bijan bought the property from Swift in an off-market deal in 2018. They have since renovated every room. The property has a main house, a guest house, a pickleball court and parking for eight cars.

Whiskey Riff says Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has extended its run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 to 24 weeks. The song passed Mariah Carey’s 22-week record last week, then added another week at the top.

Kenny Chesney tells Backstage Country his #1 song ‘Carry On’ has been sitting around for five years. “I’ve had ‘Carry On’… for over five years in that file, waiting for its moment. It didn’t fit on other records. If it had been on other records, that whole album wouldn’t have been as cohesive. So, I’m a big believer in cohesive records.”

The NY Post says Luke Bryan is proud of his son Bo’s first season as a starting high school quarterback. The Battle Ground Academy senior threw for a career-high 406 yards and six touchdowns against rival Franklin Road Academy. Luke said Bo stayed poised after an early interception and praised his second-half performance.

Parade magazine says Lady A singer Charles Kelley has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. He says he feels healthy and is hopeful about advances in treatment. Kelley expects to keep working during treatments and says performing after the diagnosis reinforced that he belongs onstage. Unexplained rib fractures led his doctor to order blood tests.

Parade magazine says Luke Combs has lost 30 pounds since his previous elk hunt in 2024. He shared a weight update during a recent hunting trip. Combs says getting healthier was his main goal. He wanted to keep up with his group in New Mexico without cutting corners.  He set out to tag a mature bull elk on the trip and succeeded.

IGN News says Sony is  preparing a new theatrical cut of  Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The re-release will include footage removed from the original film.  One cut scene features actor Rosario Dawson’s Daredevil character, Claire Temple. No release date has been announced. Sony re-released Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2022 with10 extra minutes, including extended scenes featuring all three Spider-Men.

Page Six says Kim Kardashian was recently in Shanghai, where a fan asked her to sign a $44,500 Hermès Birkin bag. The fan handed her a metallic gold pen and asked her to sign in the middle of a red crocodile. Kardashian hesitated, then signed the bag and posed for a photo.

In Touch Weekly says Angelina Jolie is allegedly taking inspiration from Jennifer Aniston’s relationship with hypnotist Jim Curtis. Jolie would not pursue Curtis but is looking for someone with similar qualities. A source tells the magazine, “She’s impressed with his teachings. She really sees the value in the sort of self-development that he offers, and truth be told, he’s exactly the kind of guy that she’s hoping to meet. She wants to meet a man that’s spiritual, that’s done the work on himself and isn’t afraid to go deep with her. Basically all the qualities that Jennifer Aniston has got in Jim.”

AOL says Brad Pitt and  Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara has legally dropped Pitt from her last name.  The 21-year-old is now Zahara Marley Jolie.  A California judge approved the change without objection. Zahara is the third of the former couple’s six children to legally remove Pitt from their surname.  Her sister Shiloh filed to change her name in 2024, and her brother Maddox’s change became official earlier this month.  Another daughter, Vivienne, filed a name-change petition in July, with a hearing set for November 2nd. Pitt and Jolie separated in 2016 before their divorce was finalized in December 2024.

Joblo says  Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen are going to play a dysfunctional father and son in AMC’s new comedy series “Happy Jack.” Charlie will play Jack, who has two daughters. Kate runs his company and keeps him on track, while Sam is described as a wild child who resembles her father.  Martin will play Jack’s father. The story turns when Sam brings home Paul, a former investment banker turned van-life guru who is the same age as Jack.  The show is planned to film before a live studio audience. A late-2027 premiere is planned for AMC and AMC+.

The NY Post says Tyler Perry is selling the sprawling Beverly Hills estate that he once lent to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after they fled the palace. He has listed the property for $57 million as he prepares to relocate to Puerto Rico. The 24,500 square foot Mediterranean-style mansion contains eight bedrooms and sits on 22.5 acres of land.
