“Killer Plane Is Pretty Peaceful…That Bridge Is An Outerbridge Bridge…& Ever Have An Oct-lemma?!”

Despite being in service for about 20 years, the F-22 has only scored THREE air-to-air kills.  The first was a Chinese balloon in February of 2023.  The other two came just days after that.  Those “kills” were never recovered, but were also believed to be “balloon-like in nature,” like maybe a $12 hobby balloon. (The U.S. Air Force has 187 F-22s, which cost over $60 BILLION.  I guess it’s good that they haven’t had more action.  Hopefully it stays that way.)

There’s a bridge called “Outerbridge Crossing” between Staten Island, New York and New Jersey. But it didn’t get its name because it’s an “outer bridge” for New York City . . . it’s named after a Port Authority chairman named Eugenius H. Outerbridge.  And they didn’t want it to be “Outerbridge Bridge.”

The word “dilemma” originally meant a choice between two tough options.  Three options was a trilemma, four options was a quadrilemma, and so on.
